Meklord Fortress
#EXVC-EN095

Face-up "Meklord Emperor" monsters you control cannot be targeted by the effects of Synchro Monsters. When this card on the field is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, you can add 1 "Meklord Emperor" monster from your Deck to your hand.

Merklord Fortress...doesn't look like much of anything honestly. The infinity symbol is cool....whatever. Anyhow so Merklords get there own field spell which is actually pretty good. Thats not saying the archtype is good, but the field spell is pretty good. Sorta like how Amazon Village is a good field spell but Amazons themselves are...decent at best in my opinion. Anyhow all face - up Merlord Emperors you control cannot be targeted by the effects of synchro monsters. The better ones tend to target, but there are still so many that do not and can inflict damage. Therefore, said first effect is alright. The second effect is your basic replacement logic for yugioh.
This is unviersally known, and therefore, quite useful. When said card on the field is destroyed you can add a merklord emperor from your deck to your hand. Not the best replacement, but not bad for the archtype.

Overall, the field spell for Merklords is decent but thats about it.
Nobody seems to be playing a dedicated Merklord build so I don't see this card making any waves or changing the meta. It would help in some Merklord builds but it really depends on your style.

Meklord Fortress, a moderately playable Field Magic card, and one you're likely using if you're playing with these monsters.  These are kinda the Earthbound Immortals of this season of the 5D's cartoon, aren't they?  So this Field Magic card prevents face-up Meklord Emperors you control from being targeted by the effects of Synchro monsters.  Certainly a plus, but the beautiful part here, is that when this card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, you can add a Meklord Emperor from your Deck to your Hand.  If you have this card out, but no Emperor, you might even destroy it yourself.  If you do all ready have an Emperor out, it might cause your opponent to leave this on the Field, so you can't access another one.  I don't think the Meklords are that great of an Archtype, but this card isn't bad.

Ratings:

3/5 for the Deck, for reasons listed above

Art:  4/5
