Featherizer …

Hmmm … its OK, I guess … No, it really is … but not SUPER ok.

Here’s why: The stats? – forget it. I suppose if it DID wind up in attack mode, it could do a LITTLE damage if it swung directly, but it doesn’t have “good” stats by any means … not even for its level. That’s no big deal, as that’s not Featherizer’s purpose (stupid name, by the way) – His goal is to provide support for the Gemini. Again – not the greatest deck type. Relatively slow compared to some of the others out there. But Featherizer will allow u to dump a Gemini into the graveyard, and then draw 1 card once he’s killed in battle. Phoenix Gearfried will allow u to resurrect whatever u drop in there, so it s a nice set up for moves down the road, and then the draw allows him to replace himself … so these are great things for a card to have going for it. But Featherizer loses points in that – he, himself isn’t much value. He’s not a Gemini, so he cant be later resurrected by PG, nor does he get the benefits of being a normal monster that u most likely are trying to take advantage of with a Gemini deck … He has to die by battle to get his effect, which doesn’t always happen. In fact – it quite often does NOT happen. So he’s not on the level of Sangan. And lastly – Gemini’s just aren’t super great. They’re ok, and interesting … but not a great deck. So Featherizer leaves with ok support for an ok deck type.

So … yeah. That’s how it is.

Well we look at one of the super rares from the structure deck today. Featherizer, this card is rather interesting. When its destroyed in battle you send a gemini from your deck to the graveyard and draw 1 card. Ok defense and low attack but it dumps a gemini and draws a card. Its pretty good with Creature Swap, Apprentice Magician and Junk Synchron. Not sure if you could really put those all in a single deck together and make it work but they are just examples of cards you could use this with. Being able to dump any gemini to the graveyard from your deck is generally a good thing since most people would use Swing of Memories to bring it back. You could send Gigaplant to the graveyard if you're working on some Gigaplant OTK deck, it could speed that deck up since Gigaplant has other various plant support to bring it back. There really isn't much else to say about this card that I can think of right now anyways, its a decent card for the gemini theme and its something to expierament with.

Featherizer

Here we have Featherizer, Today's Card of the Day.

When this card is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard, you can send 1 Gemini Monster from your Deck to the Graveyard and draw 1 card.

I’ve had a chance to see this card in action and let me tell you it’s one of those cards that is almost good.  Its stats are very mediocre and all its good for is to absorb an attack. It’s not even very good syncro material. I really don’t have much to say about this card except, its mediocre. Card Trooper does this so much better. He might mill more than 1 Gemini and it doesn’t matter if he dies in battle or by effect. Another junk holo.

Featherizer is a pretty cool card for gemini decks and one of the cards from the new deck that helps them out a lot. Since it draws a card when it is killed in battle since you will probably be setting it, it acts as a dekohchi in a sense and a foolish burial as well. This is pretty much the best first turn play you can do in gemini decks with all the graveyard revival the deck has access to. Featherizer is quite a beast if you start the game with it. Gemini decks are going to be pretty good with the release of this new deck and the support in Stardust Overdrive but not quite tier one. Never the less this card is awesome and really the only downside is the low stats.
