General Zorpa Nettles

This guy is the Krebons of the plant World. 1200 ATK and an Earth Plant are pretty good for stats. He doesn't have the highest ATK for a level 2, and PLants have their own great support, so really no complaints here.

He is a Tuner, so you will often be using him for a Synchro Summon and not for beating face, but he can actually do that quite well. His effect is where he earns a lot of his keep. Other Plants seem to like him a bunch, and if he were to die, you can destroy another one instead of him.

A mediocre effect and decent stats get him the best Tuner of the Plant type, but since only Copy Plant comes close, it is really a no-brainer. This is the Tuner of choice for Plants, so if you are in Plants and want to Synchro, use him. If you dont have Plants, use Psychics and Plaguespreader, they are just better right now.

Nettles Review:

Well heres Nettles, the weed that could. Searchable thanks to Lonefire Blossom and a level two monster instead of its tuner friend Copy Plant. Being a level two tuner makes it easier for players to summon out Queen of Thorns or Goyo Guardian, as well tune with Gigaplant for a level eight Synchro Monster like Stardust Dragon or Red Dragon Archfiend.

Like Copy Plant, Nettles has low stats but not as low. Nettles has 1200 attack which means a Mirror Wall or Shrink could save it, but most people dont run such cards in a plant deck. So with Nettles you'd want to Synchro Summon with it as fast as you can.

I'd use more of these over Copy Plant but both have their ups and downs.

Nettles …

He’s got a funny name, huh? :)
Anywho … It’s a LITTLE better than Copy Plant … sorta … right?

Well, let’s see! - A 2 Star Tuner monster … That sounds about right. Level 2 is a comfortable level for Tuners to have. They mix well the Level 4’s to make Goyo, as well as the standard level 6 Tribute monsters to make the Super Dragons. He’s Earth attribute which is nice and suitable for a Plant type monster too. He’s even got a little bit of respectable firepower (1200 ATK) for his level, if need be. So these are all good things.

But Nettles here is a selfish and self-serving little guy, sacrificing another plant u control in order to save himself from destruction. It’s not as nice as Krebon’s attack negation, but it’s still useful, especially for Plant decks that can manufacture little plant token-thingies very easily, and create a bunch of weird (but cool) combos that aren’t coming to mind right now.

He fits very well into a Plant deck … and … yeah. He’s better than Copy Plant.

Level 2

ATK 1200/ DEF 400

First let me say I am no expert on the plants or the deck. This card should be played in a plant decks no matter what version what you are playing. But I have not seen one that could stand up to Lightsworn,Gladiator Beast and the new TeleDad but if you do try it then good luck.
