This card's controller pays 1000 Life Points during each of their Standby Phases (this is not optional). During your Standby Phase, if "Pandemonium" is on the field and this card is in your Graveyard, 1 Level 4 or lower Fiend-Type monster gains 1000 ATK until the End Phase.

Dark Paladin
Monday

Well, it's Archfiend week, and I'm not happy about it. I don't like Archfiends, and I never have. They have a fair amount of support, but it just never seemed like that viable of a Decktype to me.

Anyway, Imprisoned Queen Archfiend opens the week, one of the newer Archfiend monsters who is Level 8, and oddly enough, a Fiend of the Dark attribute with 2600 attack (a little low) and 1700 defense.

Now, to my knowledge, every Archfiend requires a Lifepoint cost during the Standby Phase...in this case, 1000 Lifepoints. So if you get this card on the Field, you better have a lot of Lifepoints, or be winning, and very quickly.

Now, while I'm ranting, I'll note that Pandemonium, the Archfiend Field Magic card does prevent you from paying the Lifepoint costs of your Archfiends, but that alone, could be as few as 3 cards in as many as 40 or more...

Anyway, if during your Standby Phase, this card is in the Graveyard and Pandemonium is on the Field, one Level 4 or lower Archfiend you control gains 1000 attack until the End Phase. This card is garbage folks, I'm sorry.

Archfiends need a heavy hitter, but for starters, 2600 attack isn't quite it. 1000 Lifepoints is too high a cost, and the effect(s) involved is (are) hardly game-breaking. Better luck next time I suppose.

Ratings:

1/5 all, even in Archfiend, even if you have Pandemonium on the Field.

Art: 2/5 Even the picture isn't so great, she looks like a female Summoned Skull with a bit more armor and chained to something, but hardly in a prison.
General Zorpa Imprisoned Queen Archfiend

Here to start off Archfiend Week, we have the card that brought the deck back into the spotlight. 2600 ATK and a decent DEF are okay on a 2 tribute monster, but abysmal for a level 8. Fortunately, our jailed Queen here does her best stuff when she is in the graveyard. Her level 8 status and DARK attribute make her ideal for use with Trade-In, Armageddon Knight and Dark Grepher.

While she is in the graveyard and Pandemonium is on the field, you can have one level 4 or lower Fiend monster gain 1000 ATK until the End Phase. Well, as I said before in my article on Archfiends, her effects stack, so that if you have multiples in the graveyard, you can easily boost an Archfiend General to 5100 ATK, which is nothing to sneeze at at all.

In this game, ATK power is almost everything. Battle is what is important right now, and removal is at an all-time low. Since this is a graveyard effect, it is almost impossible to disrupt without removing it from play, and since DD Crow has flown the coop, IQA is pretty safe in her cozy little cell called the graveyard.

Traditional-1/5
Advanced-3.5/5

Ahhh... the start of Archfiend Week!!
I gotta tell ya - i'm a bit biased in that Fiends have always been my favorite Monster/Deck type in Yu-Gi-oh ...
However, I never much favored the Archfiend build ... nevertheless ... enough about me, let's get underway!!

The Imprisoned Queen - I actually like this little lady a lot! I always felt she was one of the better, although easily over-looked additions from the Phantom Darkness set. There hasnt been much play with the Archfiends as of late, and it was a bit unexpected that they even 'favored' us with support for this relatively forgotten deck-type.

She's 2600 ATK, which makes her an Archfiend heavy hitter. She's Dark, which is as good an attribute that any monster can have in this game. She's 8 solid stars, which makes her super sexy for Trade In, should the need require ... and it totally SHALL! ... for when u get to her effect, u see where her super power lays! For the small price of having Pandemonium on the field (which is a must for Archfiend Decks to operate anyway), as long as the super Queen is in your grave, you get to boost a level 4 or lower Archfiend by 1000 ATK for the turn. Most Archfiends have respectable ATKs as it is ... giving them the +1000 allows your 4 Stars to run over basically ANYTHING your opponent is playing. So now your opponent would RATHER you have your 2600 ATK monster on the field than "safe" in the grave.
I think she's awesome, actually. She shoulda been at least Super Rare in my opinion ... but the Phantom Darkness was so chock full of goodness, I can see how she was missed.

Traditional: 3/5
Advanced: 4/5

FYI - These ratings are obviously only for an Archfiend Deck, as she wouldn't be used anywhere else.
