Handcuffs Dragon is a card that I really like...and at the same time, I really don't like.  We have a Level 5 Wind monster, who is a Dragon (go

figure) with 1800 atk and 1800 def (both not so great for a tribute monster.

I think here we have a classic case of a monster that was great, but watered down a bit with a semi-restrictive effect that was also thrown an extra star to require a tribute in a case to further water down said card.  Could you imagine how much better this would be if it were Level 4?

In short, to reiterate, If this card got it's effect by simply being destroyed, instead of being destroyed only by Battle, that would greatly heighten its playability.  Or, even if you took out the tribute factor, we, again, might have a worthwhile monster.

These effects, however, certainly aren't bad.  First, as stated prior, when destroyed by Battle by a card your opponent controls, when sent to the Graveyard, you can equip this card to that monster.

The equipped monster loses 1800 atk and better than that, when that card is destroyed, you can Special Summon this card.  In closing, we simply have a decent card, with some nice ideas, but terrible execution.

I definitely LOL'd when I saw this card. Ridiculous just about describes it. So we have a level 5 Dragon with 1800 ATK and DEF. That right there is enough for me to say that it is unlikely to be good. But his effect is actually pretty good. IF he is destroyed in battle, he equips to the monster that killed him and that monster loses 1800 ATK. Then, when the card is destroyed, you Special Summon him for another go-round.

If we still had Reasoning, this card would be a top pick for an aggro turbo deck. He will often replace his cost with the destruction of a card as well as bringing himself back. I have to say that the level 5 just killed it. Level 4 it would have been a beast and an extremely good card, able to take out almost any monster in the game with a friend to help him out.

I am a little shady on the rulings, but an excellent play with this card could be to suicide it into an opponent's monster. the equipage goes down, and then you destroy your opponent's monster with another by battle, Special Summoning Handcuffs Dragon during the battle Phase. This allows the Dragon to attack again, either another suicide or to take another card out.

Well, another day come and gone, and I'm still reviewing. Handcuffs dragon is ok. If you can pull it off a few times then it's great, but chances are it'll get destroyed before that. This card is hard to rate, because depending on how fast your local metagame is, it could rock or suck. In the big tournys with DAD and such, it probably would be to slow. Especially cuz breaker just got liberated.

3/5 all.

Handcuffs Dragon has a very interesting effect. To make sure its effect would work to your advantage, you have to tribute set this monster. It is like Helpoemer in the case of your opponent attacking a tribute set monster to get an effect off. Its stats are okay, but in the current format, monsters usually come and go on bth side pretty quickly.

This would be bad against Gladiator Beasts because most of them can't destroy it by battle and they would get Murmillo to destroy the dragon anyways. Dark Armed Dragon Decks usually can get around any monster by using a Dark Lord Zerato or Plasma. Lightsworn have Celestia, Ehren, and Judgment Dragon.

It is too slow of a card and being on the defense is usually a bad thing these days. If your opponent hits you big time, you have to hit them bigger next. You can't just sit there and be defensive about tribute monsters. If you would tribute summon this card, it is possible for it to get hit by a Bottomless Trap Hole or Torrential Tribute.

Today we'll talk about Handcuffs Dragon. First thing you'll notice it's name is simply amazing! and it's Level 5 1800 ATK and DEF, it's bad status make up with an usual effect.

Most Monsters in the average Metagame cannot attack over an 1800 ATK monster and those who can usually have the simple ability to destroy it outside of battle any way meaning that you'll rarely actually get its effect.

Overall for a one tribute Monster that suffers from low ATK power and a not so spicy card effect I think I would rather keep it in my bad commons and rares binder then my deck.

Today’s card up for review is Handcuffs Dragon. This card has a pretty nifty effect to use in casual play. To make a monster lose that much attack power could be quite useful. I don’t like that it is a tribute monster, kind of hurts the playability of it. Due to the tribute, I would just suggest using Shrink or even Rush Recklessly. Not much to say about this card, besides if you can get it out, you’ll be able to keep summoning this card for a sorta of loop.
