Maharaghi

This card fails.

Weak ATK score, okay DEF doesn't really matter because if it gets attacked and survives, it's just bouncing to the hand, and its effect doesn't give you an extra card, it just lets you see if you're going to want your next one. There are good Spirit cards in the game; the problem is one's banned and the other's restricted to 1, and the second one is too busy making love to Dekoichi the Battlechanted Locomotive to come give this one any help.

Stick with your Tsukuyomis, folks.

Goody, Maharghi is a Spirit!

As far as Spirits go, it has all that normal Jize of course, but this one isn't terrible I don't think. This allows you to recycle your deck so to speak. You get to look at the top card of your deck on your next turn BEFORE you draw.

If you want it, you draw it. If NOT, you send it to the bottom of your deck, and draw a new card. The next one down. This could single-handedly reduce and/or eliminate the dead draw.

This card has a lot of potential, and even being a Spirit, I wouldn't be surprised if it started popping up as tech. You could literally use the effect every turn, since it will return to your hand being a Spirit.

Ratings:

3.75/5 all around for tech potential

You stay classy, Planet Earth :)

Maharaghi is a veryyy interesting card, indeed. Its effect is...to be honest quite good IMO.

Its a Rock Spirit, with 1200/1700 ATK/DEF. The effect is very simple: as soon as you summon it...nothing happens. ;). Next turn, as you draw, look at the card, and you can either choose to Draw it right then, or put it on the bottom of your deck and draw the next card. You can do this only once, obviously.

Its a decent card with a decent and interesting effect. Stats are very nice IMO, you can set it and at time have it ran into by "Breaker the Magical Warrior", "D.D. Warrior Lady" and such, get the effect and everything, but you've got to have a backup plan because spirits obviously detract from field presence =[.

Advanced: 2/5. Interesting..
Traditional: 1/5.

Dark Maltos

Maharaghi

This thing is dire.

Spirit monsters are generally bad enough, with exception to Asure Priest , Tsukuyomi and of course Yata Gurasu. But thing one takes the cake.

Boasting a crap-tacular 1200 attack, this cards only positive point is a somewhat lacking 1700 defence. Now the effect is where we really get infuriated.

Maha permits you, no wait that’s the wrong word, Maha FORCES you to see the top card from your deck and put it at the bottom before you draw. Hmm, I can see it now. You return a much needed lightning vortex to the bottom of your deck, then draw into your SECOND Maharaghi. Joy…
