SomeGuy Tuesday - Revisiting White Magical Hat

[Spellcaster/Effect]
When this card inflicts damage to your opponent's Life Points, 1 card must be discarded randomly from your opponent's hand to the Graveyard.
Light/3/1000/700
Card Number MRD-016/SDJ-021
Card ID No. 15150365
Rare/Common

White Magical Hat is the perfect addition to most Control or Hand Disruption decks. Not only can it strip your opponent's hand away, but it can also attack under Gravity Bind. Which is why it's always a welcome Monster in Clown Control.

Obviously an excellent combo with White Magical Hat would be in conjunction with Yata-Garasu. Take away their hand, then Yata-Lock them for the game. Delinquent Duo, Confiscation, The Forceful Sentry, Time Seal, and Drop Off help the cause.

The only disadvantage to White Magical Hat is the low ATK. Although, this is necessary in order to keep him somewhat balanced. Irregardless of the low ATK, White Magical Hat is definitely a Monster that will make you or your opponent sweat.

Rating: 3.8/5
SandTrap Ah, White Magical Hat! I played this guy for so long in my Hand Disruption deck, he's so good, and even better now. With Yata-Garasu available, White Magical Hat can make the Yata lock easier and faster to do with the help of WMH. Although 1000 ATK isn't much, if you can keep his path clear, via mass removal, Exiled Force, etc., and the Hat protected, via Waboku, Trap Hole, etc., then you can make White Magical Hat your opponent's worst enemy. But once Don Zaruug hits the U.S. shores next set, WMH will sadly be obsolete, unless you plan to run some sort of Gravity Bind/Hand Disrption sucky deck. But who would want to do that? *Looks at SomeGuy*......cough...

Rating: 3.5/5. It can truly be a devastatingly powerful card, but it just needs some support. Just...don't let Sangan suicide against it...argh...so annoying =/
DuelMonster Tuesday:
White Magical Hat
Metal Raiders: 016/Rare
Light/Spellcaster/3/1000/700
Effect: When this card inflicts damage to your opponent's Life Points, 1 card must be discarded randomly from your opponent's hand to the Graveyard.

Today we review another old card, again. This monster is the current Hand-Destruction Deck leader, at lease until Don Zaruug comes out. With being able to pull a card from your opponents hand every time he does damage and being level 3 with 1000 atk so he can hit under MoP and Gravity Bind, this guy can mess up an Exodia Deck and screw-up most any other decks. With a few extra punches and kicks from Robbin' Goblin, the 3 Pre-Emptive-Strike cards and Yata, you can destroy all hope of recovery for your opponent.

Because he has low stats you have to either boost him with good Equips like Mage Power/United We Stand/Fairy Meteor Crush and hide under Gravity Bind or you can just work on Monster and M/T removal with maybe some Ground Collapse so you can get clear shots in every turn. A nice trick, but hardly going to happen, is having WMH set in defense with Chorus Of Sanctuary and playing either The Reliable Guardian or Mask Of Weakness when your opponent attacks, hopefully making them take lp damage and you get to randomly discard a card from their hand.

I would say more about this card but what hasn't been said about it already, he's been out for over a year now and just finally got enough cards to make him a lethal weapon in a good Hand-Destruction Tournament Deck.
