Subject: The True Skull Deck - Luigi777

Yo. Well, I ,about two months ago, sent in my skull deck, a deck based around both the archfiends, and the D. World monsters. But, a couple days ago, I realised it wasn't really a SKULL deck. It was more of a "Fiends that look like skeleton" deck. So, today, I'm going to make a true skull deck.

Well, ok, the your first thought is probably something like "Well, what is a 'Skull' deck? " My answer is a deck based around cards with skull in their name. Here are 4 skull cards I'm going to base the deck around:

1) Skull Knight #2

3 star, Dark-Fiend

ATK/1000 DEF/1200

Effect:If you Tribute Summon a Fiend-Type monster by offering this monster as a Tribute, Special Summon 1 "Skull Knight #2" from your Deck in face-up Attack or Defense Position. Your Deck is thesn shuffled

Well, this guy is so much more playable that Skull knight (the fushion), and he adds swarm when with:

2) Summoned Skull

6 star, Dark Fiend

ATK/2500 DEF/1200

A nice beatdown monster, and the heart of this deck. If I chose his twin, Skull Archfeind of Lightning, I 'd have to make this deck more of an archfiend deck, which takes away the point. Still, both go with Skull Knight #2, adding swarm and beatdown to the deck. And now, for the last two monsters of the deck:

3/4) Skull Servant and King of Skull Servants

 (both) 1 star, Dark-Fiend

ATK/300 DEF/200

(The king only) Effect:The original ATK of this card becomes the number of "King of Skull Servants" and "Skull Servant" cards in your graveyard x 1000 points. When this card is destroyed and sent to the graveyard in battle as a result of battle, remove from play 1 other "King of Skull Servants" or "Skull Servant" card in your graveyard to special summon this card.

At last, a place where these guys can finally call home. And, on the plus side, the king's reborning ability will also help with the swarm stratagy of the deck, and gives you tribute bait.

Ok, so the basic monster line-up for the deck is:

(7) Tributes

2 Dark Ruler Ha Des

1 Jinzo

3 Summoned Skull

(17) Non-tributes

1 Breaker the Magical Warrior

2 Giant Orc

3 King of Skull Sevants

2 Mystic Tomato

1 Newdoria

1 Sangan

3 Skull Night # 2

2 Skull Servant

1 Slate Warrior

The Jinzo stops this decks biggest weakness, the Dark Ruler is a staple in a fiend deck, the beatdown four stars are there to help hide the true powers of this deck, letting you succesfully use Skull knight #2 and the Skull Servants to their maximum power (behind your frontlines). The Tomatos gets out all the main cards, The Newdoria will help in the protection area, and the Sangan a plain staple, letting you search out both the knight, the servant, or the king. And, total, it equals a nice 24 monsters. Any way, on to the spells:

(8) Spells

1 Card Destruction

1 Dragged Down into the Grave

1 Graceful Charity

1 Lightning Vortex

2 Mystic Plasma Zone

1 Premature Burial

1 Snatch Steal

A lot of cards that discard because of getting Skull Servants in the grave, and a little trap that belongs in the deck, that we're about to see. The Vortex, Graceful, Dragged Down, and Card Destruction are all examples. The Premature Burial and Snatch are staples, and, I realised most of the monsters are dark, so I put in two Mystic Plasma Zones. And now, for the traps:

(8) Traps

1 Call of the Haunted

1 Mirror Force

1 Next to be lost

2 Ragekei Break

3 Skull Lair

The last card nesicarry for this skulll deck, Skull Lair, an under-played, over-powered trap card, that this deck can maximize the use of. And with the above spells, and 2 ragekei breaks, this really helps the deck. The Next to be lost has a fun combo with Skull Servant/King of Skull Servants. Think about it. It thins the deck, gets a bad top deck out, and, best of all, it'll help fuel the king. Also, if you use it on a skull knight, then you can reborn the dead one with premature or call, and tribute it to bring out the last one from your deck. These combos are all rather situational, so I only put one in. Mirror force shouldn't need to be explained.

Well, over all, the deck ends up looking something like this:

The True Skull Deck (40 cards)

(7) Tributes

2 Dark Ruler Ha Des

1 Jinzo

3 Summoned Skull

(17) Non-tributes

1 Breaker the Magical Warrior

2 Giant Orc

3 King of Skull Sevants

2 Mystic Tomato

1 Newdoria

1 Sangan

3 Skull Night # 2

2 Skull Servant

1 Slate Warrior

(8) Spells

1 Card Destruction

1 Dragged Down into the Grave

1 Graceful Charity

1 Lightning Vortex

2 Mystic Plasma Zone

1 Premature Burial

1 Snatch Steal

1 Call of the Haunted

1 Mirror Force

1 Next to be lost

2 Ragekei Break

3 Skull Lair

Overall, it has a lot of potential. If someone would try making it, and testing it, I would love you to email me (at Luigi777@sbcglobal.net) how it does. If you found certain cards didn't work, please experiment, And maybe it could be the next chaos deck (no, not really, but oh well). Well, until Next time!

Luigi777 is signing off.
