Subject: Working with Chainsaw Insect - Zapspace

Alright boys and girls, since the release of Shadows of Infinity, one of the cards everyone's been trying to decided whether or not to use is Chainsaw Incest, well today you shall be shown ways to work with heavy-hitting bug

First, let's take a look at the stats (for those duelists who have been living under a rock for the last month or so)

SOI-EN021

Chainsaw Insect

Earth/Insect/4/2400/0

Effect: If this card battles a monster, your opponent draws 1 card at the end of the Damage Step.

Rare/Ultimate Rare

The Pros:

- 2400 for  a 4 star monster, need I say more

- Earth support

- Insect support

- Witch of the Black Forest searchable

The Cons:

- It's effect need I say more

- 0 defense makes it easy picking for Book of Moon, Zero Gravity, etc

Now, obviously, the major flaw with this card is the fact that your opponent draws a card every time Chainsaw battles. Now, you could leave Chainsaw on the field and use it as a wall between the opponent and your LP. The down part with this is that your opponent could suicide their monster and get cards. Why? I don’t know. But the potential is still there.

Now onto the combos

Skill Drain:

Need I say more?

Silent Magician Lv. 4:

Simply attack with Chainsaw, your opponent draws a cards, Silent Magician gets beefed up, and if you want you tribute him for Silent Magician Lv.8

Card Destruction:

Need I say more?

Null and Void

Your opponent draws and has to discard it. Simple as that, it’s a shame it only works for one turn.

Greed :

Attack with Chainsaw, your opponent draws a card and loses 500 LP. Continue and you can whittle away at their LP. The down part with this is that it effects you as well.

Protector of the Sanctuary:

As long you keep Protector, well….protected, you can keep on attacking with Chainsaw Insect and not have to worry about your opponent drawing because due to Protector’s effect

Appropriate

Of all the combos I’ve developed this is my favorite. You attack with Chainsaw, your opponent draws one and you draw two and it’s continuous. DON’T EVEN RISK IT IN ADVANCED FORMAT! The 40 Card limit will kill you. The only other flaw with this is that it’s a Trap and leaves it wide open for Jinzo.

Well that’s all I got for now. As long as you work around the flaw, Chainsaw Insect can be an incredible card.
