Building the Exodia Deck, Part 2 Welcome to Part 2 of 3 on Exodia Decks. Part 1 was the ever-famous Elma Exodia, and today is the near famous Manticore Exodia. This revolves around the Semi-Restricted Manticore of Darkness and it's effect along with Card of Safe Return. To pull it off, you need both Manticores in your hand, at least 1 Card of Safe Return on the field, and a card that requires you to discard a card from your hand. Aside from the major drawing cards (Pot, Jar, Upstart, Remains of Yata, Reckless Greed) and the Exodia pieces, all you need are as follows: Manticore of Darkness Beast-Warrior/Fire 2300/1000/6* When sent to Graveyard, discard Beast, Beast-Warrior, or Winged Beast to Spec. Summon him to field during End Phase. Card of Safe Return Spell/Continuous When a monster is Spec. Summoned from your Graveyard, draw 1 card. Painful Choice Spell/Normal Pick 5 cards from your deck and have your opponent choose one to add to your hand. Discard the rest. Random Beasts, Beast-Warriors, and Winged Beasts Foolish Burial (JPN Card Only) Spell/Normal Discard 1 monster from your deck to the Graveyard. Please note that all example decks in these articles follow the Advanced Format, and cards in parenthesis will replace them cards that they are next to in Traditional Format.
