From: lordtranorix [lordtranorix@mail.pojo.com] Convulsion of Nature Combos - Equinox ---------- Original Message ---------------------------------- From: Equinox366@aol.com Date: Sun, 31 Oct 2004 22:45:39 -0500 Now I've never seen someone use this card. Nor have I ever heard someone talk of it, so I do not know anyone's opinions of it. However, I've deduced that it can be an effective card when used together with other notable cards - Convulsion of nature forces both players to turn their decks upside down, thus allowing you to see the next card to be drawn. The only use that's apparent at first glance to me is allowing you to know what's in your opponent's hand, for which there is a card that forces players to show eachother their hands. I believe the name is "Fair Play" Seems kinda like a useless card. To me, at least. However, Archfiend's Oath, for the cost of 500 life points, allows you to call a card name and draw a card. If you called it right, you get to keep the card. Call it wrong - it goes to the graveyard. You'll normally have a very small chance to call it right unless you've previously placed a card on top of your deck. However, what're the chances you'll call it right if the card you're about to draw is face-up? See a card you need, it might be worth the 500 life points to draw it. Now, keep in mind you can see your opponent's next card and vice versa. Thus, drop-off is that much more useful. You see them about to draw a useless card? Wait it out. See them about to draw a card they need? Drop off! Also, while this isn't so much a specific card, there are a few cards that return to the top of the deck after use or destruction, and even one that puts a card on the bottom of the deck. With Convulsion, you can send that card to the opposite side of the deck, either bringing it closer to you or further away from your enemy's hand. I think it's a pretty useful card. Not sure if some of these combos are well known or not, but hell - I've never seen this card in use. I might give it a try. Equinox, equinox366@aol.com
