The Art of the Trade - yugioh_helper Hello, this name may seem new to those who read and write tips, well it is. But the person writing it isn't. In fact I have written several other ccg tip articles under a different alias. Can you figure out who? Bet you can't. Anyway, this is a new article, because as they say "Out With the Old and In With the New"(just a side note- who makes these quotes anyway, and who are "THEY"). Well I guess it's time to move on to the tip. This really is not a tip about dueling, if you read the title you should have noticed this, this article is a tip about trading. So many people out there have no idea about the best ways to conduct a trade as well as how they should compare card values. Another issue along with this is behaving like a well mannered duelist and not a brat. I have alot of experience with this and trust me how you behave has a big influence on the trades outcome. Well since I began playing I have been studying the major influences on trades along with how you should rank your cards value. So I have broken this article down to discuss each of these topics. The topics are: 1. Your dueling enviroment 2. Card ranking and value 3. Trading manners 1.) YOUR DUELING ENVIROMENT This is a huge issue when it comes to trading. Your dueling enviroment is the people and area where you usually duel. How does this influence your trade? Well in many extreme ways such as how much you are willing to trade to get what you want due to the availability of card(s) as well as the influence your reputation has on your trades. Ok the availability of the card(s) you want in your area is really important. This is one of the most important influences on your trade. The two halfs of this issue are that the card you or the other person wants is easily available or hardly or not available at all. If the card is easily available in your area you will probably get a good trade for it both ways(Key note: if the card is easily available and the other person wants from you - if they offer you a trade that has a card you want or can use you should take it- because if you don't the other person might find another duelist who would trade for less). The other part of this issue is that the wanted card is hardly available in your area- now you need to decide how important the card is to you and/or your deck- this helps you decide how far you are willing to go to get it, due to its rarity in your area the card might come at a hight price so be aware of that, also if your the one who has the card the other duelist wants try to go for a trade which benefits both of you, don't push your luck- somebody else could always get the card from a pack or something and offer it to them at a much lower price(just for reference price generally means number and value of cards, not nescesarily money). Your reputation is not as major of an issue as the previous one but it can present you either with good trades or horrible trades and sometimes even both. You should know what a reputation is- if your always an honest duelist with a good attitude toward both winning and losing and help the people new to the game as well as those who are not, you will be able to get better trades because the people will like you more and trust that you are giving them a good trade, while the exact opposite occurs if you have the reputation of a bratty cheater and sore loser with a bad attitude. Well I think this article is long enough. I'll be back with the other two parts very shortly! But I am also going to write articles with card tips and strategies so stayed toon.
