To duelists among duelists-majindavid A new level-Majin This is my first time even writing to pojo and I hope this gets posted. First off, I must intro myself, I am majindavid, a college kid from Chicago and I’m 19… that are enough, on to the article. This whole thing is about a feeling a duelist gets once he or she reaches a level that some have called “duelist nirvana” or something like that. It’ this type of continuous of your skill level through experience. You feel total different and as a result, your dueling tactics change. My friends and I have always called it “leveling up”; we view this change as a group of strong duelist, fighting to the finish, pulling out all the stops just to defeat the others. The catch is none are even going to win this duel. See, in these fights, everyone goes back and forward over and over again sooner or later, one or more of theses duelists reaches a level of play where every move seems two turns too slow. It allows you to play with calm and head until your next true challenge appears. Every duelist has had it or will have it in the coming year but that’s not the point of my typing. My point is that, we all evolve naturally and at our own pace. If your hands shake or you feel over whelmed during a duel for a card, for fun, for whatever, once you step it up a level, all of that fear and doubt fade away. Some people I know tell me that they have never felt such a thing. I’ve been playing since this game came out and I’ve “leveled-up” for my second time two weeks ago. If you have never felt it, maybe you’re playing for the wrong reasons, or maybe you haven’t focused enough of you mind into the game. Our minds gradually gain power to more we use them. In any game or practice were you have to concentrate, you’re gaining more and more of your abilities, and it’s only natural. You’ll feel, bored of the current game or like you’re the only serious duelist out there. You will begin to search for a challenge and when you find that one or eight people on the same field of play as you… you may lose, but if you think about it, that is going to prove itself as being your purpose along. Dueling comes from the heart, just like everything else serious that you do will come from. If you feel anger or a negative feeling when you hear “it’s only a game” then you are on your way to a form of enlightenment. I have yet to lose but I do not become arrogant. Arrogance only leads to defeat. Well, I’ll be writing a lot more, and I have tons to say, I’m open to emails: majindavid@yahoo.com And I’m searching for my next (hopefully) true opponent…pook, I would like to duel you at the next regional, nationals, championships, whatever, as long as I can face up.. -Majin
