Why rituals (and fusions) aren't dead; yet- plexa

hi, yes im back again. and now trying to explain why rituals (and fusions) can be used- yes atempting the impossible again....

ok, fusions aent too hard to explain; things like  magical scientist, metamophesis, summoner of illusions, fusion gate, de-fusion and fusion-subs have made fusions good/interesting/deadly (ok, maybe except fo summone of illusions and de-fusion). ok, there is basically 3 type of fusion summoning monsters; polymerisation (and fusion gate), metamorphesis, and magical scientist (and summoner of illusions)and the 4 most potentially game braking cards in the fusion world are thousand eyes restrict, dark flare knight, dark paladin and dark balter the terrible. 2 of them are best summoned via magical scientist.

Thousand eyes restrict is best summoned via metamorphesis, but can be used with magical scientist (IMO a waste of LP, but hey, your choise). Dark flare knight should only be summoned with magical scientist since all you want to do with it is kill it, esp. when u have 3, and kill them all, bring out 3 mirage knights and attack 4 the win (oh and does 2500+1800 = 2200 to you?). Dark paladin is best summoned the traditional way of polymerization or fusion gate- and it cant be summoned via magical scientist. Dark balter the terrible is THE fusion monster you want to run the mass spell negation (also found in dark paladin) is match winning material, this guy is best summoned via magical scientist and then metamorphesis'd into a real one, you could skip the magical scientist and metamorphesis your airknight ;p

Now onto rituals, these bad boys (and girls) promote bad hand management. in other words- your opponents best friends. luckily, rituals have some hopw left in this world, esp. after the ban list comes into effect. Recent support cards include manju of the 10000 hands and earth chant/contract with the abyss. again, there are only 3 rituals you really want to be running; relinquished, shinato, king of a higher plane, and dark master zorc.

relinquished is pretty much self explanitory (oh i like your monster, lets take it from you!)

shinato is the new masked beast, bigger attack, a sorta trample damage effect. in a bit more depth- 3300 attack, bigger than blue eyes, bigger than masked beat, bigger than despair from darks def. 3000 def (not that you want this guy in def mode :S) can withstand blue eyes and despair from dark- same def as a millenuim shield/labyrinth wall. and his effect states "when this monster destroys a monster in def mode, inflict damage equal to its atk points to your opponents LP"- meaning, if it killed somthing in def mode (lets take depsair from dark), your opponent would take its atk points in damage (in this case take 2800 damage, ow)

Now onto zorc himself... can you say raigeki and tribute to the doomed? this is the answer to your problems after the ban list, his potential raigeki or tttd makes him the raigeki replacement. alittle more in depth- 2700 attack, did you know 2700 x 3 = 8400?, anyway stronger than jinzo, hades, airknight but can be killed by despair from dark. a nice searchable 1500 def. zork's effect says that you roll a die, the rolling of the die, really does mean die!. roll a 1- say raigeki! roll a 2- say raigeki! roll a 3, 4, or 5 say tribute to the doomed! and roll a 6- well, err, lets just say, you just got anti-raigeki'd T_T. still thats a 1 in 3 chance of a raigeki, and a 50% chance of a tttd. and a 1 in 6 chance of u losing all your monsters- sounds like good odds to me.

now, something to have you think over...

exodia necross, and necrovalley- think about it, run exodia necross in a gravekeepers deck, this lovely little field card stops anyone removing stuff from the grave, and stuff like fiber jar. get out exodia necross, and all you have to worry about is cyber jar!

as always- send your hate mail, comments, compliments and more hate mail to ded_ice@hotmail.com

eat well, stay fit and god bless
