Weigh the importance - TheDarkLlama
I know you might be expecting this to be some sort of beatdown-bash, like a good number of other topics here, but it's not. All I want to say is that, as annoying as beatdown is, it really isn't that easy to pull off. Think about it: guys who are the best most likely have been playing with 4 star 1900+ since the beginning, meaning Gemini, GAF, Spear, etc. not always these new common 1850s and such. Those are all holos, and the majority are Ultras and Secrets, so that's a lot of trading to make a successful deck.

Now, on to my topic.

I myself don't know much about the official tourney-winning metagame, but I do know this: there are tons of decks out there people have brushed aside as decks not worth trying. They might be too risky, too costly, too difficult to pull off, whatever, but you never know until you try.

I run a Lord of Dragons deck. I have since I started the game. Let me tell you that almost the entire deck has been rotated in and out over time. The only cards that have always been in there are 3 Lord of D, 3 Flute and 2 BEWD. Everything else is negotiable. Sure, this deck doesn't always win, it is slow, especially compared to a burn deck using Scapegoat and Amazon Archer. The thing is, I made the entire deck myself. Every dragon, every card, I weighed to see how effective it would be in enforcing my dragons. Cards like Raigeki, HFD, and especially Jinzo easily tripled the power of the deck. Cards like Stamping Destruction were looked upon questionably.

The point is - don't leave a card out of your deck solely because it isn't in any of the tourney-winning decks. You never know, you might stumble upon a new combo all of your own, and then you too can post on Pojo. :-D
