Rulings/Interpretations Help - Kitsune Kun This will be my first article written for the new Pojo DM site. I have written articles for Yu-Gi-Oh! before and got great responses, and since I picked up this game, I wanted to give a quick definition/clarification list to hopefully help people who have the same questions I've been asked, or heard. Player = "This creature can't attack players." This one seems to get a lot of people, but for the sake of this game, you can envision Player and Shields going hand in hand. You (Player A) attack your opponent (Player B), you can choose which of his shields to break if you weren't blocked. Dont think of Shields and Players as being separate since you have to break your opponents Shields to get to them anyway. Think of the Shields more like individual pieces of armor. Power Attacker = This ability DOES stack. So if you have a +2000 Power Attacker and you play a card that give it the +3000 Power Attacker ability, it will be +5000 when it attacks. Double Breaker = This ability DOES NOT stack. When you enter into the 4th Step of your turn, you can Summon Creatures and cast Spells in whatever order you like, so long as you have enough Mana to allow you to do so. This was a question that came up a bit during a forum discussion. Creature effects must ALWAYS be resolved. If you summon Rothus the Traveler and he is the only Creature in your Battle Zone, you MUST destroy him, the same goes for any Creatures with similar effects. Lastly I just want to stress CHECK THE RULE BOOK. I know this is something we have all heard, but most of the questions I've come across, or have been asked are answered in the rule book. When starting a new game, thoroughly read through the rule book, dont just skim across it to figure out how to play (I've been guilty of this too), make sure you read and understand each step in the game before moving on and you should have fewer questions and misunderstandings in the future. Good luck to everyone, and I hope we can make Duel Masters a huge hit here in the U.S. just like Japan did!
