After reading some YGO tips that were just plan BAD, I decided to write one with a little (semi-sarcastic) guide on tip-writing. I asked DM7 if I should send it, but then he said I should talk to you about it...so here it is:

Okay, as you all know (or should know), Pojo’s Yu-Gi-Oh! site has a very good reputation. The best way to maintain such a reputation is to have quality tips/articles on the site. When people send in tips that are, well, crap, it reflects badly not only on the site, but on the people who sent them as well. Thus I implore you all to follow these guidelines before sending in a tip:

1) Does your combo require five or more cards to work? If so, you probably shouldn’t send it. There’s a better combo. It’s called Exodia.

2) Is your combo legal? If you aren’t sure, check with someone (there are MANY judges on the forums, most of whom know what they’re doing). And if it isn’t legal, don’t send it.

3) Has your tip been posted before? I don’t mean once or twice; I mean dozens upon dozens of times. At this point, I don’t think ANYBODY needs to read the BEUD + Cyber Stein + Megamorph combo again…

4) Is your combo even a combo? Or is it “Get a monster. Equip it with 5 Magic cards. Attack."

5) Have you used spell check? Please do.

Follow these guidelines and not only will your tips be better; your reputations will as well. That’s all for now.
