10 Ways to Stop That Pesky Bird! 10 Ways to Stop That Stupid Bird! Yata-Garasu, the card revered by those who have it, and hated with a passion by those of us who can't seem to get one. I am not here to rant about how "broken" Yata is, I am here with some of the best cards to defeat it. 10 in fact. Because I feel that no matter how strong a card is, there is always a way or two to stop it. The only rant I may have is against people who whine that cards are "broken", and my message is; "Live with it you pansy!" This game is about coming out on top no matter what your opponent throws at you, and if you are a good duelist you will be able to do this most of the time. So suck it up if you don't like beatdowns because they are too strong for your pathetic skills to match. Anyways I am getting off topic and I apologize to anyone I may have offended. So, back to the main topic. The first 5 cards concentrate mainly on stopping Yata's attack and killing him. This is probably the most effective way to stop Yata. (Unless Jinzo is on the Field) Mirror Force- Easy enough, Yata attacks, Yata goes boom. Torrential Tribute- Another simple remedy, Summon Yata, Drown Yata Horn of Heaven- Takes him out before he hits the field Solemn Judgement- Same here The next two are another effective way to make the raven a sitting duck. Skill Drain- Yata doesn't seem so strong without an effect, or anyplace to run for that matter Book of Moon- Leaves Yata in a very uncomfortable position, vulnerable to Crossout (ouch) or even a serpent attack The final four are basically a short term fix until you can find another way to stop Yata. But sometimes delaying the inevitable can switch the duel into your favor. Scapegoat- a few roadblocks in Yata's path to your life points Waboku- No damage dealt, one hopefully lucky draw Negate Attack- Can't deal damage if it can't attack now can it Kuriboh- A Get-Out-of-Yata-Lock-Free card You like it? You don't like it? Either way if you have a comment you can send it to me at If its hatemail I might get a good laugh out of it so feel free to send it.
