Subject: Key Points To A Water Deck - KRomeo Let's start off with this...I go to a this little meeting place for all Yu-Gi-Oh duelists to come, play, and trade every Saturday. There are EXACTLY two duelists with Water Decks, and the rest are Beatdowns (which are great), Reliquished decks (also good), Fiend/Warrior decks (great if played right), and others. I fit in the water deck category. I'd just like to make it clear why Water Decks are some of the best decks with some key points. Water decks incorporate both beatdown, chance/anti-damage, or burn styles. A great water deck incorporates all three. Beatdown Style: The usuals. A Legendary Ocean. Note that you can only have 3 ALO[s]/Umi[s], not 3 of each. Same goes with Harpie Lady/Cyber Harpie (future). Onward, The Legendary Fishermans, (no tributes w/ ALO), Suijins (1 tribute with ALOs), 7 Colored Fishes. Maybe even a Cure Mermaid or two. Burn Style: I find this rather amusing. A Burn Style water deck uses "flooding". Flooding means keeping your field full as much as possible and if not filled, protecting your LP. Nimble Momongas, Scapegoats, Tornado Wall, Spear Cretins (2 for an infinite wall), and Wall of Illusion. Since "Burning Land" only destroys a field card when activated. Play Burning land, activate ALO and a Tornado Wall...you're opponent takes 500 each turn and but you don't. Chance/Anti-Damage Style: This type of style includes having A Legendary Ocean and Tornado Wall out. Time Wizard. If you lose. You don't lose LP because of Tornado Wall if you lose on a flip, and yet, you're still protected, even if you don't have monsters out. Same goes with Burning Land, Mask of Brutality, Dark Elf, Messenger of Peace, and The Immortal of Thunder. No one said a Water Deck is strictly water monsters. So in conclusion, Water decks are looked down upon. In a water deck, based on two of those three styles, Tornado Wall is a staple. Just, please consider Water Decks and notice of versatile it can be.
