Subject: Corrections for the June 18th Tips

(Erratum on my last correction: Alligator's Sword Dragon's effect allows it 
to direct attack if there are only EARTH, WATER, and FIRE monsters on the 
other side of the field, not WIND.  Sorry.  :P)


A Little Review of LoD: If Yata-Garasu's flipped face-up on your opponent's 
turn due to an attack or Swords of Revealing Light, it is returned to your 
hand at the opponent's End Phase.  From what I recall, Forced Requisition 
does not allow you to discard cards from your hand for no reason, so it 
cannot affect a Yatagarasu in the hand since your opponent selects what 
card to discard in the event that FR's effect is even activated.  FOR THE 
LAST TIME, LILY'S EFFECT CAN ONLY BE ACTIVATED ONCE PER DAMAGE STEP SO YOU 
CANNOT PAY 6000 LP TO MAKE IT 9400 ATTACK.  In case you're confused, Exiled 
Force's effect cannot be used on your opponent's turn.  For Creature Swap's 
effect, neither monster can change modes.


A Semi-Auto Win Combo using Last Turn:  He omitted the part where the two 
monsters "do battle."  Solemn Judgment cannot negate a Fusion Summon: It 
must negate Polymerization.  I'm also fairly certain it can't negate a 
Ritual Summon either (it needs to negate the Ritual magic) because (new 
ruling) Special Summons can only be negated if they are summoned THROUGH 
THEIR OWN EFFECT.


And Interesting 2-card Combo:  Just for reference, BRtS is the main reason 
Upstart Goblin is restricted.


(Erratum on my tip Chance Decks - They're Fun!  Try one 
out!  Konami/Upperdeck ruled that Second Coin Toss allows you to redo all 
three flips of Barrel Dragon, so the percentage is now exactly 
75%.  Considering that this ruling didn't exist when I wrote the tip... 
this isn't a real correction :P)


Combos, how to keep cards safe from theives and a rant:

1.  Scapegoat tokens do NOT count as monsters in every way.  They cannot be 
turned face-down.

2.  Upperdeck ***HAS*** released official LoN rulings, including that A 
Legendary Ocean is an illegal target for Prohibition ("Umi" must be 
declared) and that Fusion Sword Murasame is not destroyed by Gearfried's 
effect.


cool combo with BRTS:  *sigh* TRAP HOLE DOES NOT NEGATE JINZO'S SUMMON, SO 
THEREFORE IT CANNOT AFFECT JINZO BECAUSE JINZO IS ALREADY ON THE FIELD AND 
ITS EFFECT IS ACTIVE BEFORE TRAP HOLE CAN RESOLVE!


Followup tip and a year of idiocy:  Regardless of the fact that the "year 
of idiocy" quotes other people...

1.  Defense IS the reason that the Dark Magician is 7 stars.  In the 
Japanese Metagame Dark Magician is a respectable card because of the amount 
of SUPPORT CARDS that it has.  (Skilled Black Magician, Magician's Tome, 
Dimension Magic, Thousand Knives, Mystic Box, Dark Magic Curtain, Dark 
Magician Girl...)

2.  The Change of Heart-Ring of Magnetism combo does not work.  Ring of 
Magnetism fizzles when it's equipped to an opponent's monster.  They still 
lose 500 ATK points, though.


I Hang My Head In Shame:  Regardless of whether or not the people who made 
ruling mistakes get correcting e-mails, the people who read the tip will 
not.  Therefore, I feel it is my duty to give everyone the correct rulings 
so they don't end up getting into some dispute with a judge or using the 
wrong ruling in a duel with a friend.


LOD REVIEWS:   A Legendary Ocean does NOT act (precisely) as Umi.  Umi 
powers up Fish, Sea Serpent, Thunder, and Aqua Sub-type monsters.  ALO 
powers up all WATER Main-type monsters.  (ALO would power up Little 
Swordsman of Aile while Umi wouldn't, and Umi would power up Thunder 
Nyan-Nyan while ALO wouldn't, for example)


To all fellow duelist out there:  Activating Scapegoat and Setting a 
monster on the same turn is ***NOT*** an illegal move.  It is perfectly 
legal.  A normal Set is not considered a Flip Summon, a Normal Summon OR a 
Special Summon.  (Same thing with Jam Breeding Machine)


Tyrant Dragon:  The Legendary Fisherman cannot be the target of an 
attack.  Therefore, Tyrant Dragon cannot attack it.  (Retrained Celtic 
Guardian, on the other hand, can be attacked, but does not die.  LP damage 
is calculated as normal, so Tyrant Dragon can work against it)

(Why would you want to negate Metalmorph?  Your opponent is only helping 
you if he activates it and equips it on Tyrant Dragon unless he has Reverse 
Trap activated)

(Note #2:  Tyrant Dragon's revival effect also activates for your OPPONENT, 
so your opponent cannot use Monster Reborn on it without sacrificing a 
Dragon monster)
