Subject: Followup tip and a year of idiocy Hi, jacob1189 here since some people were obviously interested in my last "Fiber Burn" article, I'll make a short follow-up for things to tech into this deck: Before I start, a brief overview of fiber burn: it is basically trying to remove cards from your opponent's raveyard and then activate fiber jar's effect as well as gain a LP advantage. For more info, see my article in June about Fiber Burn decks. Fire Princess: this is iffy, but it can work nicely if you concentrate on the life-gaining part of fiber burn's strategy. Skull Lair: well, this is probably a good card in most fiber burn decks. The downside is you have less cards. The upside is...you have less cards. That is, you thin your own deck out in a positive way (meaning remove your BAD cards with skull lair's effect). That way you have only good cards and your opponent has only bad cards. This is maybe a bit iffy in decks where the only point is to remove cards but if you have some nice attacking cards go ahead and tech this card in. For your opponent's cards look to remove anything that could do a lot of damage or kill fiber jar (like gemini elf or nobleman of crossout). Exodia: this is actually better than it looks as if you lose too many pieces you can get them back with fiber pod and skull lair/fiber pod will continually thin your deck out. You might try it, but it is what it is: a tech! Now onto a year of idiocy (just kidding) this next part willl have the most interesting comments made in tips, not neccessarily stupid, just things that catch my eye. #1 TIP BASHING: this is the dumbest tip on the site(no offence). For some reason this combo needs 16 cards which 10 cards over the hand limit. U use 5 reinforcements even though the limit is 3. U also summon 3 monsters in 1 turn that in total need 6 tributes. and for some reason u list a saggi and 2 castle walls under the cards needed but don't use them. its not even a combo, u just slap some strong cards on the field and attack.WOW no one would think to do that. VERY DISAPPOINTING(and funny). #2 PLAYERBASHING Okay......To start off, Pojo rocks and I'm sorry it's being defaced with such tips/combos. Really people it's not a combo if your tip is "Wow this is amazing! if you attach a SODS to a monster it's attack RAISES by 500! If you attach 3 too a Shadow Ghoul, kill off all your other monsters, Attach 3 Violet Crystals, Attach 3 Axes of Despair, and 3 Stim Packs, it could take out a BEWD! WOW! isn't that amazing?" - Billy. No Billy, actually it isn't. Attaching powerups to a mon to make it able to beat a BEWD, DM, and all that other stuff is NOT a combo. Nor is the sudden realization that you could destroy and OPPONENTS monster w/ MEB. Don't get me wrong, there are lots of good combos out there, but our patience is being worn thin by listening to these ridiculous combos that are so illegal that you would be arrested if you tried to play them. It's not that all of the tips out there are amazingly boneheaded; it's that so many of them require around 20 cards to complete, and I guess that kinda does count as boneheaded. Most of those tips, did I say most? I mean practically all of those tips are impossible to complete. And if your "Super BEWD" or whatever is really that good...*cough*mirror force*cough*fissure*cough*raigeki*cough*TTTD*cough*. There are some many ways to get rid of monsters it's not even funny. Honestly I don't see how some people have the patience to correct these tips. Thanks to the ones who do manage to go through this nonsense. #3 Sarcasm and Cynicism Now that together is 35 Cards, meaning you can put in five cards if you want to make a nice combo!!Yea!!Right!!!Because you must also have 40 Cards so only five, if your have fourty one then OH NO your gonna get murdered in a duel!! #4 What the ehck is that person smokin'? Take the Dark Magicain for example everyone says oh that card stinks it's at 2500ATK for two tributes and summoned skull is the same amount and it's only one but there's a good reason for Dark Magicain to have two tributes its defense. you see the summoned skell has a very week defense and trust in certain situations that defense can save your butt. #5 Maybe the same thing those people were when they renamed Psycho Android Shocker to Jinzo Okay, when is at this point where you have these cards in place, flip Change of Heart then put Ring of Magnetism on it, next place the power-up on it so it'll be at it's normal stats or higher, and have their monster atk their other 1 that you control. Tribute their monster for yours and atk LP directly. #6 This just makes me fume so much i could break my computer! Oh well, I said interesting, and interesting can be good (like the first 2 tips), funny, (like #4&5) and bad (like this one): Sups all. Today I'm gonna explain the levels of each deck I know and which people should use it depending on how well they play. 1. Beatdown - this deck is basically a rookie or a novice deck since the only strategy for this deck is pure strong monsters and depleting your opponent's life points fast. Not much strategy except destroyin and removin monsters and any magic or traps you think might be a threat and all. (LVL: Beginner)(only for people that are NEW to it) 2. Dragon - this deck is also a beatdown deck but a bit more advance where you have to use Lord of D. and Flute of Summoning Draogn to bring out strong dragon monsters but a bit slower. (LVL: Novice)(takes time) 3. Exodia - this deck is all about bringing out exodia with some cards to get him out and it can change to either a defense deck or a offense deck if you manage to lose exodia. (LVL: Novice/Intermediate)(shows a bit of strategy) 4. Deck Destruction - this deck is more about discarding than attacking since its all about decking your opponent out and can ge defensive if it needs to and can be a good way to make the opponent frustrated since you discarded their hand with some good cards. Good way to practice strategy. (LVL: Intermediate/Medium)(good way to annoy opponent) 5. Direct Damage/Burner - this deck is a bit more advance and takes strategy to know what cards to use. Since it all it does is direct damage, there's no point in attacking unless its a half beatdown half burner. (LVL: Advanced)(good way to annoy opponent) 6. Gate Guardian - I know not that many people play GG because its impossible to get it out but here's the thing, it's not impossible if you don't try. The only strategy is bringing out GG and trying to portect the 3 pieces from some harm. So for all people that think GG sucks, well that's because you don't have guts summoning it so there. (LVL: Advanced)(reason for LVL is because of strategy) 7. Toons - sure toons can attack directly but it has its flaws. Pay 1000lp for Toon World and 500lp to attack for the toon you using and can't attack during the turn it's summoned. Good thing is that its a SPECIAL SUMMON so that means Trap hole won't work. (LVL: Advanced)(same as GG) ARGH! #7 See tip #6 intro: no offense to you beatdown lovers out there but magic ruler has just announced the death of a beat down era. in case you havent noticed beatdown is used less and less for one reason.....MESSENGER OF PEACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. messenger of peace prevents any monster with an attack of over 1500 to attack for a measely 100 points a turn!!! do the math people. all monsters in a beatdown deck have an attack with 1800 or more. sure they can whip out a heavy storm on you but come on. everyone plays magic jammer now so its not a big deal. also beatdown decks depend heavily on raigeki to attack your life points directly with tons of monsters. with messenger of peace you stop him dead in his tracks. ive had 3 people already forfit because they cant do anything!!!! . want more fun?? add in life damaging monsters such as jinzo#7 and attack his life points while he pulls his hair out. ARGH! #8 See tips #6 intro: I got many annoying feedback about my article at Pojo . This is very rude , as YOU PEOPLE HAVE NO RIGHT to e-mail me about your rants . This is an ultimatum to you all : Wartortle is the boss . What he says is the law , and YOU HAVE NO RIGHT to tell me if my article is useful or not . It is useful to thos with brains , and not you BEATDOWN LOVERS . ARGH! #9: LOL this is cool, even though it does kinda flame beatdowns. By the way, I DO NOT PLAY A BEATDOWN, I JUST HATE PEOPLE WHO JHATE BEATDOWNS BECAUSE THEY SUCK TOO MUCH TO BEAT THEM! Sup all… Pojo and company… players, I have come with a ra rant (hence the title of this). I'm awfully pissed at several facts about our main subject: Yu-Gi-Oh! The first reason I'm pissed is the fact that EVERY card game I played or tried (MTG,Pokemon, etc.), EVERYONE, I mean EVERYONE has the EXACT same deck! I've seen everyone in Pokemon play a Haymaker deck, everyone in MTG play Stompy decks, and NOW, everyone person playing in this Yu-Gi-Oh! environment play a Beatdown Deck! This disturbs me because everyone thinks that because you have 3 Man-Eater Bugs, 3 Summoned Skulls, and 3 La Jinns mean you got yourself a winning deck……. NO! That's not how card games work! The ob objective of a card game is to MAKE YOUR OWN DECK and beat people with YOUR OWN DECK IDEA!! But then again, when someone else finds a great deck idea, EVERYONE ELSE COPIES IT!!! Come on people! I know you guys don't just look up the internet and copy someone else's deck and claim it as your own (that's plagiarism might I add). Whew… not that I vented enough about that subject, on to the nnext one. Throughout my dueling career, I have found DOZENS of people stealing, acting like pure jerks, or otherwise acting like they are SOOOO hardcore at Yu-Gi-Oh! I just hate it hate it hate it! ::kicks his table and it falls:: Don't get me wrong or anything, I love to play the game, I myself has given up the evil Beatdown deck and have sticked to my own deck ideas. The environment of every card game is just plainly the same. Someone makes a good deck, 5 minutes later… everyone in the entire UUS has it!!! And finally, #10! tHE LAST ONE: SPECIAL PROPS TO THIS KID, HE's A GENIUS! A few months ago the basic beat down deck was 20 monsters, 15 magics, and 5 traps. No one ran less monsters than 2ne ran more magics than 15. Traps varried. I remember translating japanese decks back in the day of metal raiders. "16 monsters!?" I said, shocked. "15 monsters!?" "10 MONSTERS!!!?" But, as i read on, i usderstood the destructive power of the deck. I cant post the deck because of the rules on Pojo (see, im following the rules this time, lol^_^ ). Okay, currently i run a 16 monster card deck, 19 magics, and 5 traps. I won TONS of tournerments, and all because i use the golden rule of beatown: KILL YOUR OPPONENT BEFORE THEY KILL YOU. who cares if you have no monsters? trust me, you wonty be touched. Theres now magic cyelender, bell of destruction, mirror force, imperial order, need i say more? Plus, you will NEVER draw a card that wont "save" you. Believe in the heart of your cards, because your gunna draw what you need when you need it. 3 fissures, Rigeki, snatch/steal, premature berial, all these good cards wont fit if you have 20 monsters! Think about it, is la-jin restricted? No, so take him out. Hes just gunna die to a Gemini Elf or Vorse Raider. Same thing with Goblin Assault force. Replace the force with the fissures you took out for those restricted cards. And hane hane and peguin soldier suck, just to warn you^^;;; 4 more magics, 4 less monsters. Just take out 3 hane hanes and a La-jin. replace the hane hane with fissure, or SOMETHING, hell, why not make room for those 3 terrential tributes. hell, you lay down and monster it dies. yet a magic card does WAY more than a monster, and both go to the graveyard "dirctly" after thier played. is it not true? Anyway, if you do play 16 monsters, you want all of them to be effect monsters with high atack. im talking 1200 or 1300. hell, the feilds gunna be open, it alway is, why not do an "effect" when you attack? discard their hand, stop them from drawing, deplete thier graveyard, all are good. You'd better run 3 giant trunades, though, mirror force is EVIL. And with no hand, they cant kill your "weenie" monsters, and youve won! Its called "japanese beatz" cuz everyones doing it in japan. The "new age beatz" doesnt stand a chance. yeah, 20 monsters, and none of the magics they need to beat you! and with all the good efect monsters and miagics coming in the new sets, why not give it a shot? Trust me, 16 effect monsters (three or four of them over 1800 atack, tohugh) can beat any deck. And trust me, with good retreval, you will get what you want when you need it. OK, I hope this don't get deleted plz let it go by Wartortle I mean no harm to anyone I am not BASHing anyone I just posted some interesing CCG Strategiies! Peac out Jacob1189 vze39myj@verizon.net
