 LV cards work quite well in ban-Special Unit Z
  Greetings, people. It is me, Special Unit Z, with my third article.My other 2 weren't really my best, but this one will be good.Today, I would like to give an analysis on the recently released LV(level) cards.The first one is a favorite of mine from its LV set, the dreaded Horus dragon!(I pulled a level 6
out of my first pack)Here is a summary:

Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV4:Atk 1600  Def:1000
Type and attribute:Fire, dragon. Effect:Control cannot switch
  as long as this card is face-up.If it destroys a monster as a result of battle, send this card to the graveyard to Sp.summon
Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV6 from your hand or deck at the end phase.

Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV6 Effect::Atk:2300 Def:1600.
Same attribute and type.Effect:This card is unaffected by
Spell cards, while face-up on your sid of the field.If it destroys a monster as a result
of battle, send this card to the graveyard to Sp.summon a Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV8 from your hand or deck at the end phase.

Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV8:Atk:3000 Def:1800
Same attribute and type.Effect:This card cannot be normal summoned or set.This card can only be special summoned
by the effect of Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV6. While face-up on your side of the field, you can negate the acivation of a spell and destroy it.

So, with the SUMMARIES read,(its almost exact, I kind of feel
lazy)how do we utilize their effects?Seems hard to use level 8,
but I have just the thing.Level Up!,a new card released in the
SOD set, with the new level cards.LV up basically says, if you
have a face up lv monster card, you can "level" it up.Ex:(It must state a level monster in its name, not sure if you can level "down", but why would you?)You have a faceup Horus dragonLV4,use LV up, and automatically take a level 6 one from your hand or deck to the field,one turn faster.Use 2 in one 
turn to get a level 8 horus dragon, and it will be a special summon.Of course, you have to put the monster you just LV "uped" in the grave.I truly think LV monsters have potential,but
with the lv 6 and 8 dragons being lv 6 and 8, you'll definitly need more support.Cost down for lv 6,TIV,coth,premature,3 wabokus,any other dragons,horus' servant,and any other cards,such as painful choice, to help bring it out easily.In ban,
I give it 8 out of 10,if their are a lot of cards to support it.In non-ban, I give it a 6.5, because you can sac for lv6, but 2300 doesn't cut it, especialy since you can't equip it.Until then Special Unit Z.elekid 22 @ aol.com
