Subject: Deck Fix - Darkness

Hey what up I am entering a tournament next week and I have decent cards. I still think the deck is lacking stuff, I just dont know what tough. So I was wondering if there was anyway I could improve my deck, I have:

Since I'm not really sure what you want your deck based on, I'm going to play around with it a little and build a Dark based deck.

They haven't updated the US restriction list yet, so I'm going to go by the Japanese restrictions for Magic Ruler.

Monsters:

Hmm... I want the majority of the monsters to be Dark type. Here we go...

3x Mechanical Chaser
3x La jinn the Mystical Genie of the Lamp
3x Summoned Skull
2x Witch of the Black Forest
3x Dark Elf
3x Magician of Faith
1x Cyber Jar
2x White Magical Hat

Yeah I know, three Mechanical Chaser ;x. Don't worry about it if you can't get them. This review is just an example of how a Dark type deck may look.

The La Jinn, Dark Elf, Summoned Skull, Mechanical Chaser, and Witch of the Black Forest should all be self explanatory because as we all know, they are rather exceptional Dark type monsters.

And believe it or not, Witch of the Black Forest is also a potential attacker in this deck. This deck should easily beable to boost up the attack of the Witch to a strong 2600 ATK.

White Magical Hat actually works in this deck. He can also, like the Witch, get decently big.

The Magician of Faith are in the deck because, well, they're just too good to not play.

Cyber Jar is one of those cards that most decks will run. Having three cards that blow up the world is always nice (1x Raigeki, Dark Hole, & Cyber Jar).

Magic Cards:

This is a Field Magic card that adds +500 ATK and -400 DEF to all DARK monsters. =D

Now the rest... (All Magic Ruler cards go by Japanese restrictions)

I shouldn't have to explain anything here. Most of the cards are restricted, so you know they're good.

Traps:

2x Magic Jammer
2x Robbin' Goblin
1x Mirror Force
3x Trap Hole

The Magic Jammer are to counter Heavy Storm and the like. Robbin' Goblin was sort of just thrown in here because your opponent will be taking overflow damage from all your beefy monsters.

Mirror Force is another staple while Trap Hole is pretty good removal. Even though it gets worse and worse as the sets go by, it still has some play value left in it though.

There you go. I'd like to let you all know that this is a very rough draft that still needs alot of work. May have some potential in the future though.
