Now i know swords is one of the best cards in LOBEWD, but seriously is it that good? I've heard people praising it as the best card they've ever used. In my opinion it's not that great. I figure most people use it because they see it on the show. Well anyways let me continue my little rant by giving you some things that can completely mess up the whole SoRL. 1. It can be despelled 2. Giant Trunade stop it for a turn 3. Heavy storm OK enough of that everyone probably knows all this and some. Now for some personal experiences My deck is basically filled with the basics. E.g. Monster reborn, Dark Hole, Change of heart. Pretty much the staple of every deck. The one thing i lack is Swords, and I've been doing great without it. I've played people who use swords and usually it ends up screwing them up more then me. Here's why. 1. Man-Eaters, Cyber Jar, Magicians of faith, and Big Eye Firstly no one likes getting their monsters killed - Man Eater and Cyber Jar for example is a real pain in the butt for Swords users Secondly Magicians of faith and the fabulous big eye help set you up for your next turns. Even if you wait out the three turns you will definitely have a card/hand advantage. Who knows you might even draw or bring back a helpful despell or Heavy. I find people that use Swords in their deck begin to depend on it when they get stuck in a jam and this might help against an unexperienced player, but as soon as you start playin in tourneys everyone is gonna be laughin it up because they know every trick to counter you're Swords. One more fun thing to do with people who use swords is they believe that since you can't attack you can't do anything to them. I just gotta say i love mirror force in those situations. hm Dats about it. Well my main point is to not depend heavily upon one great card or a few select ones because the odds of pulling it off isn't as good as you want it to be. I've done alot of trial and error and strangely enough some of those really great cards slow me down. Well thats just my two cents hope to hear any feed back from you all.
