Subject: pharoah's servant, rules, RANT (brief) this is my first rant. it'll be short. maybe. first off, I LOVE pharoah's servant. i think it brings strategy to a new level in Yu-gi-oh!, and it compliments Magic Ruler nicely, which I didn't like all that much by itself. second off, it annoys me that there are stores out there that let players use PSV in tourney's. unofficial tournaments, fine, it's at the discretion of the store. but official tournament centers who let PSV get used are, well, a JOKE. don't set arbitrary restrictions like one of any PSV card in a deck. here's an idea... follow the rules. if there are no restrictions for a set, don't use it. until upperdeck releases updates, DON'T use it. third off, it's amazing how many tourney reports I read where "combos" are being pulled off that, frankly, should never happen were judges present that knew what the heck they were doing. in a related note, i recently returned to a store I used to duel at but boycotted after they cost me 200 plus tournament points, and found, to my horror and amusement that the judges didn't know what the HECK they were doing. apparently, there are quite a few people out there that think Griggle/Ameba can be used in a way other than the card lists. " when control shifts to your opponent..." ah, how those six words gave glee to opportunists who saw a, well, opportunity to try and get away with something. anyway, the head judge agreed with another duelist who thought that if you summon Griggle/Ameba to the field in attack mode (although summon in attack mode is redundant, sorry), that as soon as it is your opponents turn, you gain life points/do lp damage to your opponent. one guy's entire deck was based around those cards! IDIOTS! Yeah, and Adam from RedRum, I told you so. Everyone, there is now an update on the FAQ at Upperdeck that specifies what "control shift" means. Jeez. It's called Magical Box of Death people, and until that card comes out, Griggle and Ameba are mostly worthless. Look it up at Edo's Yugioh Website. Matter of fact, anyone who hasn't been there, go, now, and read as much as you can, 'cause you'll be a much more informed duelist as a result. The gate page link is: www.stormpages.com/edhrzic In regards to the Change of Heart, Fairy's Hand Mirror combo with Griggle/Ameba, blah blah blah, uneccesarily complex. Show me something new, ahhhh, you don't got it! Now go away. Closing notes... Quarter 1 is now officially over. Congratulations to all the top duelists out there. Pray that Upperdeck doesn't make cool cards like Cyberstein, Blue Eyes Ultimate, Card Crush Virus, etc. Tournament Pack Season 2 cards. That would suck. And lastly... For that kid who called Haybusa Knight a Pigeon, I'm going to build a whole deck around three of those, and when I smack you down in one turn with two of them equipped with an axe of despair each, well, boo hoo for you. Late. counterfusion24 P.S. No where in the official Yugioh rule book (that came with the starter decks) do the words "main" and "sub" modify "type." A "main type" is called an "attribute," and what everyone erroneously calls a "sub-type" is actually called "type." Let the war of words begin. Bring it. hotc24@yahoo.com __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? HotJobs - Search new jobs daily now http://hotjobs.yahoo.com/
