Subject: Rant on Unofficial Torneys

Well this is a good tip if you're wanting to find out about a tournement 
near you...Now I've been very excited about my first tourney and had high 
hopes for it. I had constructed my deck by reading the tournement reports 
and selecting all the cards I had to make my deck. I had followed the rules 
carefully not to have the restricted\limited rule pointed out to me or the 
Japanese card rule.....Well I was happy with my deck and ready to pay the 
$2 entry fee. When I got there I was very nervous since there were 50+ 
people there looking ready to duel...So I faced my first opponent who had a 
large deck so I thought it'd be easy...NO IT WASN'T! Since I realized 1 
minute into the tourney his deck had 3 Monster Reborns,(Which were 
Japanese) 2 Raigekis (Japanese...Uggh), 2 Mirror Forces (Again Japanese) 
and some other Japanese cards.. First thing I did was ask were the heck the 
judge was!! Well when I found him it turned out to be a kid younger than 
me, 12 1/2??? He said that this was an unofficial tournement with no card 
restrictions (Excluding the 3 same card rule) So I was screwed when I went 
back there and pissed off...I lost $2 at a crack pot tournement and came in 
5th still though...Lucky me.. The moral of the story is ALWAYS ASK WHAT 
TYPE OF TOURNEMENT YOU GO TO!
