Drew's Top Ten List of Overrated Cards

Hello everyone!!!! In the game of Yu-Gi-Oh, there are few cards that I feel are overrated. This is kind of hypocritical seems how I have most of these cards in my deck. They are as follows:

10.  Spear Dragon- This is a card that has decreased in power over time. While it is a good 1900 beatstick with an amazing trample effect, there are also a couple of downsides to it.  It's 0 defense points and defense-switching effect were hardly looked at when it first came out, but now have been made worse. With the release of Airknight in the same set, another Trampler was introduced to take advantage of these downfalls.  That still does not stop its overuse.

9.  Harpie's Feather Duster- My only real problems with this card are the facts that it is soon to be tragically placed on the upcoming banlist and the fact that it was released in a video game, giving any player with $30 a new Duster. This card is simply to good to be that easy to get(same thing with Jinzo).

With cards like Imperial, Waboku, and Ring running around, this card could easily allow for a game-winning save to occur.

8.  Berserk Gorilla- This newly released card is sending people running for IOC packs faster than a Magical Scientist deck. This is another really good card that isn't as rare as it should be. Only being a rare is allowing a lot of access to a game-winning card. Being able to suicide Vampire Lord makes this card a Beatdown staple. One truly painful thing about this card is them only having that Injection in attack mode on their field with no other monsters

you to attack with. Either way (defense/destroyed or attack/destroyed), they are probably going to get a good attack in next turn.

7.  Don Zaloog- Although I myself have one of these in my own Beatdown  deck, I find it really funny when I see people with three of these in a non-Hand Disruption Deck.  One should be the limit in most Beatdown. Three 1400 beatdown monsters is not a good idea at all. In the land of Gorillas, Dragons, and Elf twins, this card gets run over more than a three-legged cat on the highway.

6.  Mirror Force- This card has led to more swearing in the past two years than any other card.  Either they will being the one swearing when you destroy their monsters or you will be the one uttering the vehement exclamation when your game-saving defense as Heavy Stormed, Feather Dusted, Typhoon'd, or obliterated by any of the other sucky common m/t removal cards that a beginner effectively used against you. Simply stated, this is a very strong card for defending yourself, not itself.

5.  Vampire Lord- Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you the current and undisputed King of Tribute monsters. Both his recursion and deck depletion effects are matched by no other. But is his recursion effect really as effective as it used to be.  I really hate it when my Vampire has a permanent stake thrust through its heart by a pesky Goblin, Fairy Lily, Gorilla, or Orc. If he came back after battle, he would not ever be considered for this list. Battle may kill him effectively, but not as effectively as he kills the minions of my foes.

4.  The @#$% Bird- This card is hated by many, and will have a permanent place in the hearts of many more. You can see for yourself why Yata is overrated after the banlist is passed.  Many seasoned players will be at a loss when they don't get to watch their opponents squirm at the hands of a second or third turn victory anymore. Quoth the Raven, "Ya ain't seeing me anymore!"

3.  Magic Cylinder-  Just like Mirror Force, this card is easily destroyed by the many m/t removal magic and monster cards. Unlike Mirror Force, this card shouldn't have seen as much play as it did at first. When this card first came out, I began to see many people trading their faithful Mirror Forces away for the much weaker Cylinder.  It hurts me to say that I myself am guilty of this crime against Yu-Gi-Oh nature. It is a lot weaker because it doesn't offer the monster removal that the Mirror does. It also pains me to see a somewhat worthy card being slipped into IOC booster boxes just like the almighty Ring of Destruction(Which,by the way, I could find no reason to put on my list).

2.  Raigeki- Dare I besmirch the name the of the card that reduces many Duelists to tears each and every day.  With the passing of the banlist, one of the most powerful(and, YES overrated) cards will become nothing more than  an ink thunderbolt on cardboard. While this card does still exist in the game, it can easily be countered. Good players play Imperial and mediocre players play Spell Shield Type-8 as well, making it worthless sometimes.  Another  bad thing is destroying a Witch or Sangan, giving them a potential Yata-Lock or Injection assault.

Here it is folks.  The number 1 most overrated card is the useful(and potentially banned) JINZO!!-  Although the Vampire is the true King of tributes, this card is the Prince that will take over when he is (permanately) destroyed. Although he may have a powerful effect and decent one-tibute attack, he can easily turn out to be a double-edged sword.  His effect can and will turn on you eventually, potentially causing you loss.  With the release of Tribe in MFC, an amazing card can easily be turned against you. Three words: Destroy and Reborn
