RCG's Top 10 Japanese Monsters 10. Killer Snake - One of the most versatile monsters in the game, this monster has stood the test of time, and is the only monster to be restricted, taken off, and then put back on it. It will always be good too, because there will always be cards with discarding costs and effects. 9. Spirit Soul Hunter - A personal favorite, but powerful nonetheless. It is witchable, critterable, crushable, can't be killed in battle, and has a Don damage effect. It is outright good and still underrated to this day. 8. Vampire Lord - This monster has set a precedent which cannot be ignored. The effect this monster has in one word would be called "annoying" and was only all-too annoying until the Chaos monsters leveled them out. It's a Zombie which means it has extra revival tactics and works well in most any deck. 7. Exclusivity Virus - Another underrated card, this monster has potential beyond the current game. Whenever you come up against a theme deck or against a hard strategy, this monster almost always bails you out. It's witchable and has a moderate attack power. It's flat out great. 6. Magic Warrior - Breaker - With the banning of Harpy's Feather Duster, this monster has become even more important if that's possible to say. It's Witchable, can take down strategies magic and trap cards can't, and can provide excellent attack force when called upon. It's a gem that will be arond for a long time. 5. Chaos Emperor Dragon - Messenger of the End - Enough has been said about it 4. Chaos Soldier - Messenger of Creation - I think the best of the 3 chaos monsters, this card has changed the way htis game has played and has surpassed the mighty Android Psycho Shocker in sheer magnitude when it comes to the opponents' fear, but it cannot surpass it in overall abilities, which is why...... 3. Android Psycho Shocker - is No. 3. It is, in my mind, the perfect monster, designed for this game. It is witchable, singlehandedly negates a key part of this game, is a dark type, a machine type (which has the fourth largest amount of monsters to date.), has great art, is a key card of one of the main characters in the show, and has proven itself time and time again. It has stood the test of time and will do so for a while. 2. Critter - A great monster that can do wondrous things. There aren't many decks that don't use monsters with 1500 attack power or less, so this monster is near-staple. 1. Black Forest Witch - This monster is staple and I refute anyone who says otherwise. When speaking in terms of absolute competitiveness, you simply must have this monster. People can counter that an "All-trap" deck could use it, but no one who wants to win would be using an all-trap deck. It is the best monster in the game. Note: Had Yatagarasu not been banned, it would have ranked 7th. McKenna James mcjello1232@hotmail.com
