Top Ten Favorite Female Monster Cards

Yo! Since there are already a few top 10 lists of female Monster Cards, here’s mine. These ten girls are only my favorites, and include both American and Japanese cards.

10) Vampire Lady--Vampire Lady will be released in Ancient Sanctuary, coming this June. She is Vampire Lord, but without the second Monster Reborn-like effect. Just because she does not have that effect, doesn’t mean she’s useless. Unlike her male counterpart, she is unrestricted as of now, so you can run three of her. She can’t be search by either Sangan, Witch of the Black Forest, or Mystic Tomato, but Pyramid Turtle can search her. Of course, she needs protection, so a few Wabokus or Patrician of Darkness should do nicely. And I have to say, her costume rocks!

9) D.D. Warrior Lady/Different Dimension Female Warrior--Who else doesn’t like D.D. Warrior Lady? She’s virtually one of the best female Monster Cards, with the ability of removing monsters from play, at the cost of removing herself from play, as well. Also, her effect is optional, so she is much more flexible.

8) Dark Magician Girl/Black Magician Girl--Surprised she isn’t the #1 pick? I like her, but as much as I hate to admit, there are much cooler and useful girl cards out there. She’s still great in Dark Magician decks and is a good Level 6 Tribute Monster overall.

7) Magician’s Valkyria--Magician’s Valkyria looks like Dark Magician Girl, but she is a Level 4 Light monster and personally, a lovelier version of DMG. She’s similar to Marauding Captain, but she can protect Spellcaster monsters as long as she is face-up on the field. And if you have two of them, just like MC, your opponent can’t attack your Spellcasters, period. One of my all-time most favorite Spellcasters!

6) Lady Ninja Yae--Yae, another Ancient Sanctuary monster, is a ninja monster with an effect similar to Giant Trunade, but it only effects the opponent’s Spell/Trap cards. You have to discard a Wind monster to the Graveyard, but you can side deck Backup Soldier for extra support. Her 1100 ATK is pathetic, but equip her with Fusion Sword Murasame Blade, and presto! She’s an automatic 1900 ATK beatstick!

5) White Magician Pikeru--Pikeru is a Light Spellcaster coming to Ancient Sanctuary, and is one of the cards in Ancient Sanctuary I’m looking forward to getting. She’s searchable by Sangan, Witch of the Black Forest, Shining Angel, and Apprentice Magician! She also has an effect where you heal Life Points equal to 300 times the monsters on your field during your Standby Phases. She is great for burn decks with Fire Princess, but you can also use her effect to run Messenger of Peace (keeps D.D. Warrior Lady from removing anything from play) and Ultimate Offering (summon monsters and cause Replays). She is definitely one of the cutest female Monster Cards; I especially love her Scapegoat hat! Awww!!!

4) Maiden of the Aqua/Sea God’s Handmaiden--Maiden of the Aqua’s effect lets you use Tornado Wall and the effect of the Legendary Fisherman without Umi or A Legendary Ocean on your field. She also has a solid 2000 DEF, which can keep a lot of those 1900 ATK beatsticks at bay. You pretty much know the other reason why she’s here...

3) Gemini Elf--They are one of the best 1900 ATK monsters ever, which combine raw offense and appealing visuals in one package. I hope they’re bisexual...

2) Injection Fairy Lilly/Injection Angel Lilly--I absolutely love Lilly! She’s invincible to most Traps like Magic Cylinder during battle, and can attack under Gravity Bind and Messenger of Peace (she can still attack even when you use her effect). No wonder she is banned in Japan! That 2000 LP cost is nothing, since there are more than enough cards to restore LP with. She’s best in burn decks and with other LP-restoring cards. And obviously, she’s really, really cute!

1) Mystical Elf/Holy Elf--The only thing going for her is her 2000 DEF, but you can search her with Sangan, Witch of the Black Forest, and Shining Angel (although it’s best to use him when there is no monster on your opponent’s field). She’s really beautiful in the anime series, too! I will never forsake my Mysty ^_^
