FW: YuGiOh Top 10 List From: BiggyPiggy09@netscape.net Now before I start, these cards are for the strategy, not the deck meaning cards which help in powering up and attacking.  Cards which will allow you to quick-kill an opponent. 1. Slate Warrior  Slate Warroir makes number one for being the highest attacking effect monster, with a positive effect.  Dropping 500 attack off a monster that kills it and possibly being a 2400 attacker. 2. Gemini Elf  Now Gemini Elf makes the number 2 spot because Beatdown relies heavily on High attack monsters.  Now it also relies on cards that don't hurt your game, as well as monsters that are searchable, and Gemini falls into all three.  Their is a reason you see these in just about all beatdowns as opposed to luster dragon. 3. Raigeki and Harpies feather duster.  Now these two go in one category cause they are practically the same card, and these are where rush begins.  Without these two cards, Beatdown would have a hard time, well most decks would, but they especially key to beatdown strategists. 4. Jinzo  Maybe he should have been higher, but oh well, now this guy is the one monster that can over power any deck.  A deck is only as strong as its protection, and he negates the traps that are protecting an opponent.  If you can't protect yourself, then you are screwed. 5. Ring of Destruction  The ring is also seen in many decks, but like Raigeki and HFD, it is very important in the beatdown strategy.  It allows you to dramaticlly decrease the length of the game, and when used at the right time can end the game. Also, it destroy's an opponents monster, so it keeps lessens what your opponent has to work with. 6. United we stand  Now this one is very important, most beatdowns will have anywhere between 2 and 4 monsters on the field mid-game, so you throw this on any monster, and you get a 1600-3200 boost to any monster. 7. Mage power  You might argue that this should go with UWS, as Raigeki and HFD went together, but I disagree.  Beatdown relies on protection of its magic and traps, that said, any beatdown will easily have a few traps down, if not they can be put down readily.  That is why a handy Mage power will enable you to boost your monster more even if only by 1000-1500. 8. Vampire Lord  Now why would beatdown implicate the Vampire lord?  It's attack is way too low!  Not quite, it's effect does more for beatdown than many other cards.  It for one, will always come back if it isn't destroyed in battle, but more importantly is how it can dwindle your opponents deck.  Now most people play between 7-10 traps in their deck, now with V-lord, you can take that and turn it into 4-7, or even limit the number of good Spell cards they play. 9. Axe of Despair  This card is good, but not as good as UWS, or Mage power.  While it has the automatic 1000 added onto the monster, it cannot ever reach the strength of the other 2. 10. Mirror Force  Now I realise some people may heavily disagree on this one, but hear me out.  Now Mirror Force is the best protection for any deck, and in one that is as muscle heavy as beatdown, you need good protection.  Name one Beatdown that does not play Mirror force...or any deck for that matter.  It may not seem as important to be in top 10 because it does not dirctly help the strategy, but it will protect the strategy itself. questions or comments email me at: biggypiggy09@netscape.net
