Subject: Shawn's Top Ten List- Cards In My Deck Hi, this is Shawn ____(can't give last name). You may remember me from a tourney report and maybe a ccg tip. I have been playing Yu-Gi-Oh! since the late days of LOB and the early days of MRD, and I'd like to share my top ten list(s). Top Ten Monsters (10 being the worst and 1 being the best) 1 Cyber Jar- I love this card. The ability to clear the field is just amazing. Plus, you draw more cards, which increases my chances of drawing Red Eyes, Poly, Summoned Skull. 2 Sinister Serpent- This card has pissed off many opponents. I use for tribute for Relinquished, and discard it for Magic Jammer and Tribute to the Doomed. I also like to Call of the Haunted, Premature Burial, and Monster Reborn strong monsters (while having one monster on the field) and then equip Sinister Serpent with United We Stand for the finishing move. Wouldn't it be embarrassing to lose to a Sinister Serpent? 3 Senju of the Thousand Hands/Sonic Bird (tie)- These two cards help me search for my Masked Beast/Curse of the Masked Beast and Relinquished/Black Illusion Ritual. After searching for the neccassary card(s), I then sacrafice these chumps for my Masked Beast or something. 4 Magician of Faith- This card has such a sweet effect. Being able to bring back discarded Curse of the Masked Beast, Black Illusion Ritual, Pot of Greed, anything. This card is just that good. 5 Witch of the Black Forest- This card can search for Summoned Skull, Sonic Bird/Senju, Cyber Jar, Sinister Serpent, Magician of Faith, Mask of Darkness...And if she can't search for em all in one go, (with Call of the Haunted, Premature, Monster Reborn) theres our number 6 pick to help. 6 Sangan- This card is like Witch's little brother. It searches for almost all of the same monsters, except for Summoned Skull. It also thins out my deck, which is good so I'll draw the B. Skull peices faster. Speaking of which, our number 7 pick pops up. 7 Mystic Tomato- This card is awesome, and will get better when Pharaonic (did I spell that right? I never was good at spelling pharoah...) Gaurdian comes out. This card searches for Witch or Sangan, and those cards will thin out my deck even more! 8 The Masked Beast- I love this card. My deck is based on bring him and B. Skull out. His atk is 200 higher than Blue Eyes, you don't have to sacrafice from the field, and he's a special summon. That's just great. He's even better equipped with an Axe of Despair. 9 B. Skull Dragon- Sure, it's kinda hard and time consuming to bring this big guy out, but it's worth it. Having no monsters on the field and nothing but a Red Eyes and Summoned Skull in your hand is kinda bad, especially when you're staring down 2 Bazoo's (at 2500) and a Kycoo. And then, you draw... Polymerization. Well, the rest is pretty much self explanatory, and if you need an explanation, why are you even playing Yu-Gi-Oh!? 10 Relinquished- Kind of a secondary monster, I bring him out when I can, but I don't really rely on him to win games, though he has before. His effect is awesome though, and when the equipped monster dies, u BOTH lose life points. Thats pretty cool. Also, the same reasons The Masked Beast had that make it good make this card good too. Magic/Trap: 1 Mirror Force- This card is AWESOME. Woohoo, you've got a Gemini Elf equipped with United We Stand, Bazoo equpped with an Axe of Despair, and Spear Dragon with Mage Power. What? You attack? Okay, Mirror Force. Poof! 2 Pot of Greed- This card is way too easy to get. It's only a RARE for cryin out loud. But it's always awesome to draw more cards... 3 United We Stand- This is the best equip magic in the game. Forget Mage Power, all you're askin for there is a Harpie's Feather Duster. Equip this thing to a Masked Beast/B. Skull then Monster Reborn, Premature Burial, and Call of the Haunted some monsters. One word: ownage. 4 Magic Cylinder- This card is pretty cool, but it just wasn't good enough for a top three spot. Though the effect is killer, being able to 'reflect' a monsters attack right back at the opponent. This card is a gamewinner. 5 Harpies Feather Duster- This card is NOT WAY TOO OVER RATED. Some people think this card sucks because they think only about destroying traps, and since most decks are beatdowns, and beatdowns only have like 6 traps. But did it ever occur to you guys that u can destroy equips too? Wow! (sarcasm). This card is like a Raigeki (which I don't have) for m/t. By the way, has anyone noticed how there's a Dark Hole and Raigeki counterpart for m/t? Dark Hole has Heavy Storm, and Raigeki has Harpie's Feather Duster. I don't know why I just brung that up... 6 Monster Reborn- I really don't think anyone needs an explanation for this one, but I'll just give a real short one. Bringing back monsters gives you field advantage, and that's good, right? 7 Premature Burial- Monster Reborn's little brother. It has a cool combo with Giant Trunade, and 800 life points is nothing. 8 Call of the Haunted- Monster Reborn's little sister. It can really catch your opponent off balance when sprung on them at the right time, like when they declare an attack. 9 Mystical Space Typhoon- This card is so versatile, and it can destroy about anything. From Imperial Order (if played face down first), to United We Stand, to your own Dark Door. This card is just that awesome. 10 Delinquint Duo, Change of Heart, Skull Lair, and Graceful Charity (tie)- Delinquent Duo gets rid of some nasty surprises my opponent might have waiting, and 1000 life points is nothing. Change of Heart is self explanatory, Skull Lair is LOTS of monster removal, and Graceful Charity gives me more cards. Sorry if the last explanations were a bit shoddy, but my fingers are getting really tired, and I'm only 11. Well, thats it, enjoy!
