Drain Mana (Warlock)

4 cost Ability- Affliction

Ongoing: At the start of your turn, destroy Drain Mana unless you pay 4.

At the start of your turn, target opponent discards a card and you draw a card.

Holy card advantage, Batman.  :)  4 cost every turn is kinda rough, but your opponent looses cards in hand and you get an extra draw every turn.  Very nice.

Sealed: 4/5  In sealed, this can be devastating to your opponant if you can keep it up for just a few turns.

Constructed: 4/5  Very powerful... excellent was to keep your opponent at a disadvantage.

Casual: 4/5  Not particularly "Fun", but still powerful.

Raid: 3/5 hand advantage is good, but I don't know if making Ony discard a card every turn is that good when she can DRAW 3.

SpoonMan
Drain Mana

This card has an insane effect, making your opponent discard while you draw a card is a +2, but unfortunately it's cost is hideous. You have to pay 4 every time...and there's always the chance that your opponent has some sort of instant ability removal, and will destroy Drain Mana after you've payed the cost but before you get the effect.

Further, Drain Mana has no real effect on the board aka allies, so unless you have control of the board, there isn't much point playing this. And if a Warlock does have control of the board, chances are it doesn't need to pay 4 every turn to gain card advantage. Greench and the Scryer boss will be enough I think. For card draw, Warlocks might as well stick to Life Tap.

Constructed 3/5
Sealed 4/5
Casual 4/5
Raid 2/5
