Martial Arts
Master:
Why this card is the "master" and not the much
better Martial Artist is beyond me. His ability to
increase his strength when fighting slower opponents
(everyone) is interesting, but inconsistent at best.
You'll typically get him to be a 4/3/6 or 3/3/6,
which makes him a great blocker (watch out for hasty
Sarcophyles, though), but he can't attack
effectively on his own and so doesn't pose much of a
threat.
It might not be fair to compare the Master with his
fellow Martial Artists, but I can't help it. The
fact that he can be picked takes so much away that I
can't really see using him in constructed play.
