Double Attack

Force 3 - Master Speed; Lightsaber Sweep

Here is a great example of a fig that is not great, not powerful, but has still worked her way back into game play.  For 30 points, she really does not do enough to be played over a JWM.  She does have 10 more HP, but has a weaker defense and equal attack.  Both have double and sweep, but Luminara lacks the defensive capabilities and offensive weapons of the JWM.

So why has she been seeing a bit more play?  She has something that the JWM does not - Master Speed.  With the release of Master Qui-Gon and General Windu, people have started running running her simply because she can keep up with them.  That and her stats for 30 points really are not bad even though she should probably be a few points cheaper.  The double attack with sweep means that she does have enough offense to warrant a spot in the squad, and if played with General Windu, she becomes a triple attacker that can cover a lot of ground very quickly.

100pts:  She doesn't do enough here to be of value.

150pts: Here she can be played, but you will usually be better off using either Depa or the JWM to help cover against top meta builds.

200pts:  Here she can see play as you have enough room to build with.  If you run her you will most likely want to run Master Qui-Gon with her.  By herself she isn't strong enough to do much once she gets up there, but once the two of them reach their target, your opponent has something to worry about.  You can also add General Windu for a triple attack option, or General Kenobi to extend that reach just a bit more.  She is a key opponent for what i have deemed a JIS squad (Jedi interference squad).  Run her and Qui-Gon out to take on the attackers and use a power shooter in the background to blast away.  Your opponent has to choose between the cannon or the Jedi.  Having to ignore one could be fatal, and makes it a very tough build.  Luminara's sweep is also making her a powerful counter to the swarm squads that are popping up.
