Commander Effect: At the end of this character's
turn, 1 Rebel follower within 6 squares can make 1
immediate attack at +4 ATK and +10 Damage.
There has been many different versions of Princess
Leia ever since Rebel Storm. We had Senator, Slave,
Rebel Hero, Hoth Commander, and now this. Each Leia
has a way of helping out your squads, whether it be
extra movements, just a filler, or even bringing
back the dead. Out of all of them, however, this is
my second favorite one to use (the Hoth Commander is
my favorite).
Stat-wise, she's not very pretty. 50 HP means she
isn't gonna last long, especially with only 14 DEF,
an ATK of 7 is... meh, and the 20 DMG is standard.
Nothing pretty there, right? Well, for abilities she
has Unique and Force 2. The Force 2 is gonna help
and hurt, as there are a lot of Jedi Hunters out in
this game, but the rerolls and moving an additional
2 squares are sometimes worth it. So, we still have
nothing that makes her extraordianry.
However, its the Commander Effect that makes this
piece worth using...
She allows one Rebel follower within 6 squares to
make an immediate attack at +4 ATK and +10 Damage. I
don't know about you, but that is a killer Commander
Effect. So, that means Luke, Champion of the Force
can make an immediate attack at +17 ATK for 30 DMG,
Han Solo, Scoundrel making TWO attacks at +13 ATK
for 30 DMG (accurate shooter, too), and our Hoth
Trooper with ATGAR Cannon shooting at a +7 ATK (not
super impressive) for 40 DMG! Now, some of these
don't sound like much, but a piece like this
increases the damage output for your squad, which is
very important.
In 100 PT format, I can't think of a way she can get
in here, especially with the Banes and Vaders
roaming around. In 150 she can be seen, as Rebels
can do well in this format. Same with 200.
