Double Attack; Loner +4

Force 4
Force Grip 10; Sith Rage; Riposte

Today we close out the week with the fallen prophetic son himself. Sith Ani is one of those pieces that is actually pretty good, but you don't see very often. The hardest part of using Anakin is finding the right support for him.

Stat-wise he is decent - not great, but still pretty solid. They all end up being just below where they should be for 39pts, but then again he has access to some nice help. The attack is bolstered by the loner, which is easy to achieve with a little Thrawn/swap.

Force powers are pretty much standard dark side and Anakin. The thing that confuses me is that if Anakin is the chosen one and strong enough to defeat so many top level Jedi, why does he only have 4 force points? Anyway, Force grip can be a nice grunt killer if used properly, but that is about it. He keeps his standard riposte and is a great way to keep inflicting damage on the other person's turn. Sith rage makes Ani a 30 DAM attacker, which is also good.

100pts: While not a bad piece for this format, he is just a hair too fragile to make much here. Teamed with RS Emperor, they can make a nice 1-2 punch. They are going to have problems with the likes of the top squads, but outside of that they should do okay.

150pts: Here he works very well. You can run any number of combos, but his best team is what is referred to as Baby B&B. It uses the basic B&B strategy, but frees up some more points. Its easier to get loner into effect, so basically Ani is a double attacking +17 for 30 DAM.

200pts: Actually, Ani is one of the few characters that i would say takes a bit of a dip in effectiveness for 200pts. He just doesn't have the synergy with enough of the other pieces to be truly dangerous compared to many of the squads that form up in 200. His advantages are unlimited force points from RS Emperor. Of course you have Thrawn, but after that it drops off pretty quick.

He is a solid piece that can be a lot of fun to run.
