Shaman King TCG Tips
Suggested Sealed Deck Guidelines from Upper Deck

Brian Hacker has so kindly posted a quick summary of Sealed Play rules that he used at UDE in my forum. Below is what he posted. - AndysIslands
-----------------------------------------
The rules we (UDE) play for Sealed is:

1 Starter, 2 booster packs - This should result in about 1/2 generic cards and 1/2 traited, so while it is *possible* that you end up getting messed up with traits, it should be highly unlikely.

For draft, we originally were going to shrink wrap the starter packs in sets of 15 (in other words, a starter would have 4 "packs" of 15 instead of 2 "packs" of 30) and we tested accordingly. That didn't happen, but the draft rules are based on this.

I know it sounds a little weird, but the starters are designed to be drafted and here's how:

Take your starter, and make 4 sets of 15 cards, which means just shuffle a pack of 30 and make two sets of 15 with it, repeat for the third and fourth "pack". Then put the two shaman you got in front of you, so that everyone can see. Those shaman are yours, and so you have to make a deck with one of them. You then draft left, right, left, right. This sets up some very interesting dynamics where you know a little of what the people around you can play and are likely to play. You also are sort of "role-playing" your shaman in the draft, which makes it very different than other drafts. It may not be as pure as other drafts, in that you can't draft any archetype that you want, but you get a very different play experience from it than other drafts, and it was a popular format here at UDE. Make sure you build 40 card decks.

We hope you give it a try.
