Getting your Red Zone can sometimes be the hardest
task in this game. If you charge it the traditional
way, that means you’re playing an advantage in your
red zone, which is never a good thing. If you have
to get to your red zone on a counterattack, that
means you’re either defending a very powerful
strike, or you’re running out of energy to pay for
your strikes. Either way, playing an advantage in
your red zone is not what you really want to be
doing. Wouldn’t it be easier if you could charge
your red zone without playing an advantage in it?
Why yes, it would, and it will only cost you an
extra Yellow energy to do so. At least this Strikes’
intercept and force numbers are solid, if not
exciting. However, since this card accomplishes the
same game effect as the Davy Jones Gold Dubloon, you
may or may not want to include multiples, depending
on how many Dubloons you have in your deck.

Playability – 3 of 5
Collectability – 3 of 5

Parting Shot
When you counterattack charge your Red Zone. Well
you need to get your zones charged, and what better
way to do it? Cost, 2 Green and 1 Yellow. If your
needing that Chamber Cards Move, then it's worth the
cost. I can see myself using a few of these in a
deck.

Card Review: Parting Shot
Parting Shot
Okay, I'm new here. I'm gonna be doing POTC COTD
from now on. Here I go with
Parting shot.
It's a Cannon Strike, which is okay, and it has 6
intercept and 4 force. 6 intercept isn't too high,
considering teh opening attack is 4 force, the
amount you need to block with could soon get too
high. 4 force is okay, but not a huge dent into your
opponent. It's cost is 2 green and one yellow, which
isn't hard energy to get. It's effect let's you
charge your red zone, which is good for
saving up until your signature move. If you don't
want to save up until then, dismiss it's effect and
save some energy.
Rating: 2.5/5. Decent, but not a staple.

Name: Captain Barbossa – Cursed Mutineer
Card#: 135
Rarity: Rare
Type: Ally – Dark
Payment Costs: 1 Red
Card Effect: Yellow -> When you counterattack from
Captain Barbossa's zone, your opponent charges one
of your zones. Use only once per turn.
Flavor Text: "Here there be monsters!"
The Captain is a great "charge" card. Forcing your
opponenet to charge one of your zones is like saying
"Ok... go ahead and get ready for my Sig. Move".
True to his persona, the Captain is just nasty. For
such a low cost this is a must for any kind of
"Charge Deck" or an "Ally Deck".
My Rating - 4/5
