Playdoh
Dude
Sorry for not reviewing the last few weeks. I've been busy. I'm stopping the two different reviews from now on. Now only one. Let's get started.
Gyarados evolves from the worst pokemon ever, Magikarp. Gyarados has good attack and speed. But his type combination make him very weak to electric. Its a good idea to always keep a ground pokemon with you when you are using Gyarados.
Gyarados has some good moves, and a lot of them too., He dosen't really learn any Flying moves, but he does learn some Dragon ones. He should be Water/Dragon instead of Water/Flying. He also can use some nice Water moves. Well, that's all for the review. I give Gyarados a 8/10.

You guys keep on rollin'

PlaydohDude

Reeve Gyarados.
# 130.
Type: Water/Flying.
Ability: Intimidate.
Locations: Sootopolis City (Fish. Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald), Routes 4, 6, 10, 11, 12, 13, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 25, Cerulean City, Cinnabar Island, Fuchsia City, Lavender Town, Pallet Town, Viridian City, Berry Forest, Bond Bridge, Cape Brink, Cerulean Cave Floor 1, Cerulean Cave Basement 1, Green Path, Icefall Cave Floor 1, Kindle Road, Memorial Pillar, Outcast Island, Resort Gorgeous, Ruin Valley, Safari Zone areas 1, 2, 3 and center, Seafoam Islands Basement 3 and Basement 4, S.S. Anne, Tanoby Ruins, Trainer Tower, Treasure Beach, Water Labyrinth and Water Path (Fish. Firered and Leafgreen), One Island, Four Island, Five Isle Meadow.

Hi everyone. I bet you were expecting Moltres, but I didn’t pick the Pokémon of this week. Don’t worry; we have an excellent Pokémon for you instead of that one. Let’s see what Gyarados has to offer.

Amazing, Gyarados used to be just another Pokémon. Today it is one of the most used Pokémon. It is both flying and water type, bad against electric but let’s not worry about that for now. Its ability cuts foe’s attack which is always good.

It has excellent Attack and Special defense. So you don’t want it to use Fire blast, it’s complicated sometimes. Beginners might want to teach Gyarados Fire blast, thunderbolt, surf or stuff like that. But this one is pure attack my friends.

The suggested move combination. Gyarados was made for total destruction. You’re about to find out…

Gyarados.
Nature: Adamant (+ Attack, - Special Attack).
Equip: Leftovers.
EV´s: 252 Speed, 252 Attack, 6 Special Defense.
- Taunt
- HP Flying
- Earthquake
- Dragon dance

Great. The most predictable and common combination. Get Gyarados out, your opponent will switch for a tank and you’ll use Dragon dance. Your opponent wants to start its tank strategy. But YOU HAVE TAUNT! Checkmate. Earthquake works wonderful in double battles.

Gyarados.
Nature: Adamant (+ Attack, - Special Attack).
Equip: Liechi berry.
EV´s: 252 Speed, 252 Attack, 6 Special Defense.
- Earthquake
- Flail
- Substitute
- Dragon dance

Substitute and Flail, sweet. One or two dragon dances, then Substitute until your Liechi activates. After that is just a matter of choosing which is better; earthquake or flail.

When should I use this Pokémon?
Oh man. Everyone has a well trained Gyarados and you should have yours as well. Works against Blissey! So that’s good enough to go fishing your Magikarp.

What should I use against this Pokémon?
Remember we said something about electric-type Pokémon? They are 4x effective against Gyarados. Use something electric and fast; Electrode or Jolteon. Ghosts are good as well. If you manage to burn or poison Gyarados before it uses Taunt, you have a pretty good chance there as well.

Bottom line:
Use it, please. He is strong and not as hard to use, almost perfect. Just keep on training…

Rating:
4.7/5

Hope you enjoyed.
