A Glowing Recommendation!

Saturday, I hit Meijer and discovered the tail end of a 30% off *all* collector trading cards... sadly, too late for a news update...  :\  Sunday, I noticed Target has started putting selected Jakks toys on clearance (approx. 25% off)--and they were resetting their seasonal shelving area... so...  while we are waiting for retailers' Christmas in July, I have a little news to redeem my oversight on the Meijer sale.

What's red and glows in the dark?  Not Charizard's tail--or wait-!  Yes, it IS Charizard's tail--on this new t-shirt, that is!  (see attached pix)  Available at Wal-mart in youth boys' sizes up to XL (14-16), $7, this bright red Pokemon T glows in the dark!  All your fave heavy hitting Pokemon led by Pikachu BRING IT ON!  ;)  (You can see the Pikachu blanket I made in the one shot, background, fleece obtained from Wal-mart a few years ago--and say, where *is* the Pokemon fabric, I'm itching to stitch up another pillowcase!).

Now, if you are a lady who isn't game to squeeze into a boys' XL T like I will be, LOL!, don't despair, as our fave fashion place Hot Topic is dishing up yet another super-cute top, this one with a napping Pikachu on rainbow cloud 9!

I have not seen this or the Team Rocket T in-store in my area yet; however, speaking of Target resetting their seasonal shelves, how about beating the back to school rush with these cool school items at Hot Topic, Pikachu pens and Pikachu notebooks:

These were already in my local Hot Topic mall store--wasn't school just *out*?  ;D  But, hey, back-to-school doesn't have to be all bad, it's all in the books you pick to read.  Check it out, a hardcover "Greatest Battles" book is due on August 1 and the cover art says the 80 page book will include a poster, from Scholastic, $7.99 on Amazon:

The cover art for the 2nd D&P manga is also posted on Amazon, due out September 2:

For kids learning to read, 4-8, "Save the Shieldon" is due out September 1 (hey teachers!):

You can also see on Amazon there are a ton of other Pokemon books in the works, just search "Pokemon" and sort by release date.  Say...  wot's this???  More Pokemon All-Stars DVDs?!  It's Meowth!

This and vol.12 are due out August 19.  I had not heard about this before; but, then, I don't have a subscription to any anime websites... hmm.  OK, here's what Right Stuf! has so far:

They say vol.12 is Treecko.  I'll keep my eyes open for more info!

Pika Pi!
