Smidgen of News

Just the "Littlest" bit of news (that's a play on Littlest Pet Shop, which is dominating the toy aisles this year!):

First, check out what Barnes & Noble has stocked at the newsstand, Pokemon World Annual

2009:  http://www.imagineshop.co.uk/item_show.php?itemID=1010  This THICK import 'zine is chock full of glossy pix and info, perfect for the fan new to the Poke scene, $19.99 at B&N.  When I said perfect for the new fan, I meant that someone who has been collecting for years probably has a lot of the info within already, but this is sure to be a hit of a holiday gift for any big fan, especially because it includes Shaymin in the text.  There is also a big section of cut-out Pokedex cards and of note, the book isn't just for kids because of that.  It has a real variety of info, just take a peek when you hit the newsstand.  This guide fills a gap in the American guide zone (say Pojo, when are YOU going to put out another great tome???), a sort of all-in-one update.

Target has a new youth long-sleeve T in grey, $9.99, with artwork similar to the photo I posted of the Wal-mart T recently except Ash is surrounded by the Stage 2 starters and Giratina instead (but Pika is still on his shoulders).  Drat, being that it was just put out this past weekend, they seemed to be out of the larger sizes, so no pix for ya, sorry.

While you are at Target, YO OMAHANIME!, there is a new blister pack with a POP booster, a D&P series booster and a Drifblim promo--I'm not sure if this was scanned for the web yet... (Pojo Note ... I actually just posted this today ... here's the link).

If you've been to the mall, you've probably already seen the new Pokemon T at Hot Topic,

$19.00:

That's all I have from the Big Box at this point.  Target's price cuts on the mini plush had an end date around this weekend.  It remains to be seen if retail can pull a Buneary out of the hat for Pokemon before the big holiday.  I recall the D&P dragon plush exclusives of last December and keep hoping...

Pi-Pikachu!
