Loretta's Pokemon Toy Blog Um... I think we're gonna need a bigger bag for *THAT* :O I made a special trip to campus today because I have red-hot toy news 4U! "Um... I think we're gonna need a bigger bag for *THAT*..." :O It was a cold and rainy Sunday here in Cowtown yesterday as I sat in my pick-up outside the pharmacy leafing through the Sunday paper ads. Much to my chagrin, I once again found myself shorted the Target Sunday ad while my Pikachu beanie stared woefully at me from a cubbyhole in my dash. TRU or Target-?, I debated in my head. Target it was. Little did I know at the time... First I hit the TCG aisle. Well-stocked, but, nothing new. As I walked past the kids' clothing on my left and the kids' bedding on my right, I stopped dead in my tracks to an eye-popping, jaw-dropping sight. http://weeklyad.target.com/target/default.aspx?action=entryflash&ref=nav%5Fweeklyad(If the URL does not work for you, please go to www.target.com, click the weekly ad tab, type in your zip code and hopefully, you'll see a similar Sunday ad for this week)MEGA SIZE TARGET EXCLUSIVE DIALGA AND PALKIA JAKKS PLUSH FOR $24.99!!! WOW! These things are so big, they won't fit in a standard Target sack. I had to beg the clerk to get me a bigger bag so as not the ruin the Dialga I was clutching in the rain. Parents, these are probably going to be red-hot, so, if you are interested, do not delay checking into this. They were on an endcap in my local Target; I imagine since they were an exclusive posted for the Sunday ad, they will be displayed prominently. Now, today on my trip to campus to borrow a public PC to write this, I stopped at my local TRU. THEY HAVE BOTH GROUNDBREAKERS TFG STARTERS OUT! I was able to pick up Whirlwind with Landon, Geodude, Latias and Mightyena. I have not yet seen the boosters; but, since I keep seeing 12/14 ship dates on dealer/distributor websites, I'll be looking for these closer to Xmas. Hope this info helps someone with their holiday shopping! :) ---- addendum 1 - The Dialga plush is begging nearly $50 to buy it now on e-Bay. Whoa... Here's a Palkia asking $40... Yeah, I'd say if kids want this for Xmas, parents better look *now*. For $24.99, it's a steal; I usually see import plush that size commanding $40+ at my local anime shop... ----- addendum 2 - Sorry about the multiple mails here; the e-mail client/web-mail times out really quick... :( L.
