I hit 4 different Targets over
the weekend but only one had a NEW box of
Pokemon beanies... I hunted around on the web
(toy dealer site, e-Bay) and found these pix of

The Pikachu holding an apple is quite novel; it reminds me of many Japanese plush I've seen. The embroidered details on the beanies (esp. Jigglypuff's multi-tonal eyes) are excellent; IMHO, superior to the stamped on designs of the original/early Hasbro beanies. I'll be hunting for Chikorita, as I only managed to score Pika, Jiggly and Nidorina. As far as the 10th Anniversary DVD's with release dates noted as 6/6/2006 on the Amazon website, I have not found either Pika or Jiggly in stores yet. An in-person visit to a local Borders yielded "July 2006" on their in-store database! A delay? I forgot to mention, I did hit the Pokemon Center kiosk at the Cincinnati bash on the Friday before the event.
