Loretta's Pokemon Toy Blog
Target & Japan
October 6, 2006

Target just did a major restock on the TCG shelf at my local store and I saw THREE new Pokemon gift sets! The smaller two sets were both the carded pack sort--3 ex boosters, one foil promo and one collectible coin. One of the sets featured older ex boosters (called "classic" on the price sticker, $8.99); the other included 2 Crystal Guardians packs. The promos I noticed appeared to be Pidgeot, Tauros, Sceptile and Swampert, I believe. Now the drum roll... The BIG gift set was a Target exclusive! It included TWO sealed preconstructed ex decks, three ex boosters, TWO foil promo cards (um, I think Mew and poss. Typhosion-?) and a collectible coin. $19.99. Everything I've mentioned was stamped from Pokemon USA on the outside packaging--none of that 3rd party repackaged stuff, so, I'm guessing the risk of "good" boosters being weighed and snatched is low... :)

Additionally, Bandai has updated their product page. I found new figures at the Japanese market this week; I snared a Manaphy:

Finally some scans of the floating wind-up toys I found some weeks ago:

And the key chains I found even before that...

This is the directory you want to bookmark to keep up with the releases:

And a sneak peek of the upcoming movie (that is already out in Japan!)!

Sometimes, the products show up on the shelves before you will see them on the page. This is why you'll find me driving to the market every week! :)
