Cadet-Captain Mike

Name: Sea King (English)
Card: RF #044 (Common)
Points: 6
Masts: 2
Cargo: 2
Moves: L
Guns : 3S,3L
Hit %: 100 (S), 50 (L)
Ability: You can double the range of this ship's cannons each turn, but you must roll a 6 to hit.

With all the hundreds of noble ship names that fill the Royal Navy's history, why does WizKids have so much trouble naming English ships?
This so-called "Sea King" is about as far from naval royalty as you can get.

You'd expect a ship with a name like this to have some real power. Two masts with 3-rank cannons does not equal power in my book. Two cargo and an L move don't spell gold running, either. Add a Captain and Helmsman, and she's a reasonable back-up fighter. But if you don't mean to use her ability, you could use HMS Cumberland instead, and get 2-rank cannons (and double the cargo) for one point less.

The only good thing about this ship is her low price, which is fair for what you get. Aside from that, if this is the King, you better hope nobody plays the ace.
