Cadet-Captain Mike Name: HMS Henry VIII (England)
Card: DJ #055 (Common)
Points: 10
Masts: 3
Cargo: 2
Moves: S+L
Guns : 3S,3L,3S
Hit %: 150 (S), 50 (L)
Ability: Schooner. This ship gets +1 to her cannon rolls against the Cursed.

England has many, many ten-point ships that make effective fighters; 10
is kind of a sweet spot on their navy lists. HMS Henry VIII deserves a
place among them.

Three decent cannons and fine speed, for an affordable price, make her a
good secondary fighter even you don't face any Cursed. Two cargo isn't
enough for effective gold running, although if she loses her Captain
crew, she can still help your war effort by bringing home a coin or two.
I see this ship as an escort for gold ships when Cursed sea monsters are
nearby. If the monster goes for the gold ship, the Henry VIII will hurt
it badly; if it goes for the fighter, the gold ship will get away clean.

If there aren't any Cursed nearby, there are other ten-point fighters
England can use (HMS Dover and HMS Nautilus spring to mind, among
others). But even if you guess wrong, and use the Henry VIII with no
Cursed to shoot at, she'll still make an effective warrior, and she
won't break the bank on points to do it.

Goldship rating: 3.3 / 5
Gun Ship rating: 3.4 / 5
Boarding rating: 2.9 / 5
Value for points: 3.4 / 5
