Cadet-Captain Mike Name: Lilu (Cursed)
Card: OE #008 (Common)
Points: 11
Masts: 3
Cargo: 2
Moves: S+L
Guns : 4S,4S,4S
Hit %: 100 (S), 0 (L)
Ability: This ship gets +1 to her boarding rolls. She gets +2 instead if her opponent is a sea monster.

Before we start making fun of the Lilu's poor cannons and cargo, there's one thing you Cursed fans may have noticed, and that's her speed. The number of Cursed ships that can keep up with the Lilu can be counted on your fingers, and a bare handful are faster, so she's above average already.

Yes, her cannons stink, and yes, she has about half the cargo she needs.
But she doesn't need a Helmsman, so that saves a cargo space and two points that most other Cursed ships have to give up. I'd send her out with no crew, and sic her on enemy gold ships. Two rams, two boards, and she's full; bring her home and count your ill-gotten gains. If you can manage two such cruises in one battle, she may have paid for herself; remember that when you steal gold, you not only get ahead, but you also put the enemy further behind.

The Lilu looks like she was painted in watercolors and then left out in the rain. But she is an effective boarding ship for a fair price. She deserves a chance to prove herself.

Goldship rating: 3.3 / 5
Gun Ship rating: 2.4 / 5
Boarding rating: 3.2 / 5
Value for points: 3.8 / 5
Draco Starcloud Lilu

No offense intended, but we couldn't find a French boat from Mysterious Islands to round the week out?

Just kidding!

This ship gets +1 to boarding rolls, +2 against sea monsters. Not bad since there are so many new sea monsters in the Ocean's Edge set.

Cargo Spaces: 2 is pretty weak. Luckily, you won't need those space for cargo.

Masts: Three 4S means you aren't likely to win a shoot-out or be able to soften a target up before boarding, but three masts is decent for boarding small targets.

Base Move: L+S for a base move is the only way in which the Lilu shines. Very fast, good for chasing.

Point Value: 11 points means the Lilu is a typical, overpriced Cursed ship.

You don't get a lot of value from the Lilu even if she is fast. Leave her on the sidelines if at all possible.

I give the Lilu a 1.5/5.
