Ships With Only One Cargo Week commences with the Barbary galley Pasha's Delight, a very underrated little gold ship.

I hesitate to use the words "gold ship" on a boat with only one cargo.
But with her speed and her defensive ability (and her unimpressive cannons), that's definitely her role. Yes, she can grab only one cargo at a time. But with near-maximum speed, she can make two or three trips in a game, and she ought to pay for herself easily if she doesn't find low-value coins every time. L cannons can't hurt her, and a fighter would have to be very, very fast indeed to catch up with her and use S-range cannons. Her cost is quite reasonable for what you get.

The Pasha's Delight may not be the Corsairs' most effective gold runner.
But she's quite good at snatching high-value coins from hazardous areas, where her speed and ability can protect her from hostile fire. Any good Corsair admiral should definitely give her a chance to prove herself.

We start off a week of “Ships with Only One Cargo Space” with a Barbary Coast ship. Many ships already with the Galley keyword had at least one 4S cannon, not to mention the notorious Barbary Corsairs with their 6L cannons. Yet, this ship is in its own category. Ships in Pirates of the Barbary Coast were rather slow in motion and restricted in movement compared to the previous set, Pirates of the Revolution, making them difficult to maneuver smoothly when attacking other ships. Yet this ship is stunning for four reasons. First of all, it is 9 points for a two-masted ship, and I personally consider that an unfair price for a good two-masted, non-Cursed vessel; to me, the range of good armed 2-masted ships or flexible ships with less than 3 masts and cannons (regardless of their abilities such as “Longship” or “This ship eliminates two masts with one hit”) should be around 5-8 points. Her speed is quite remarkable because the most frequent speed I had noted in the Barbary Coast set was S+S speed. L+L can get close to any opponents with ease and can act as a scout. Even better, she can get within L of an opposing HMS Gallows, or, if your opponent likes using this ship, HMS Dreadnought. When the HMS Gallows tries to smash your ship to ribbons, you can just simply reveal its deck plate, and he or she will find him or herself in a rather sticky situation trying to remove this ship. Third of all, her cargo is below average for a galley, but that can be bypassed with the new Cargo Masters in Pirates of the Cursed Seas: Savage Shores set, which gives +1 cargo space to all friendly ships. Finally, this ship has very good cannons for a Barbary Corsair Galley. A 33% chance of hitting a ship that can’t hit you with her L-Ranged Cannon can be powerful, but that can be improved with Murat Rais. Even better, with a Cargo Master on another ship, boot up a captain from a large pain to treasure ships by attacking them. However, remember that because of your 0 cargo space remaining with the two crew aboard, you should only derelict them and only sink them if they have oarsmen. Overall, this ship would be a very good guerilla ship to unsuspecting treasure ships if you hide behind any 3-D wild islands you have, but other than that this ship is rather average.

            Gun Ship? Yes; 3/5

            Boarding Ship? No; 2.75/5

            Treasure Ship? No way; 1/5

Raiding Ship? Yes if you leave the ships derelict instead of sinking them; 4/5

            Guerilla Ship? Yes; 5/5

            Speedy? Yes; 5/5

            Point Efficient? Nah; 2.76/5

            Average: 3.36/5

Draco Pasha's Delight

I'm just not sure what WizKids was trying to do when they made the Corsair faction. To me, they're like the Cursed: weird mixes of stats that don't often work. Pasha's Delight is no exception.

Powers: One of the Pasha's good points is that her power is immunity to L-range guns.

Cargo Space: Pasha's Delight has only one space for cargo. That's pretty sad.

Masts: Two masts with a 4L and a 3S gun. A typical Corsair below-average fighting ability.

Base Move: The Pasha's other good point is that her base move is L+L. She might not be able to hold a lot of cargo, but she can sure get to it quickly.

Point Value: Her price tag is 9 points, but all you're getting is a lot of speed and immunity to some guns. She can't fight well, she can't board well, and, despite her great speed, can't run gold well (you'd need a lot of trips and hope that you get lucky with big coims).

I give the Pasha's Delight a 1.5/5.
