Aethereal Maurice Aristide

A three-point crew member that makes one of your unloaded treasures worth two more gold. Hm. On one hand, this can give you a nice lead in the race to get gold, but on the other hand, it only affects one treasure and it costs three. I'm leaning toward the "nah" side on this dude, but I would take a second and maybe third look at this guy if you're playing a hardcore treasure hauling fleet. If you play with him, put him on your fastest ship so you can quickly dart back and forth getting gold to maximize the effectiveness of his ability.

Lady Baptiste

Another three cost crew member here. I like this one better than Maurice Aristide. Once per turn you get to redo one of your die rolls.
This goes great on any ship that has an ability involving rolling a die, obviously. You can also pair Lady Baptiste with crew members that roll dice to produce effects. The only "downside" to this effect is that you have to use the second die result if you reroll. However, if you're rerolling using her ability, it means you weren't happy with your initial roll anyway, so why would you want to keep it? Three points feels about right for this ability, so I would consider her if I had room. The only bad part about her is that you have to pair her with other abilities, sometimes costing more points.

Rating: 3/5
