Hollywood In Your Pocket: Putting Video on Your Sony PSP

The Sony PlayStation Portable (also known as the PSP) is a pretty remarkable portable electronic device. It plays games on its 333 MHz processor, which works in tandem with 4MB of fast DRAM and 32MB of embedded RAM. The PSP can also browse the web via its wireless (802.11b) internet connection and play back digital music with Dolby Digital 7.1 surround sound capability.

Sounds pretty good, doesn't it? But there's more!

One of the jaw dropping features of the PSP is its bright 4.3 inch LCD with a 16:9 aspect ratio and a whopping 480 x 272 pixel resolution. The PSP also supports a proprietary media format known as the Universal Media Disc (UMD). There are a number of movies available on the UMD format, but how does one go about putting the video files from their own media library onto the PSP? FullStory
